I have recently redevoted my life to Christ! I understand God and Christianity on such a deeper level now and I am giving up my life to him. One of my major sins I am working on is lust. I never understood why sex is bad or porn or masturbation untill just recently. I am 23 years old. Almost all of my clothes outside of work clothes are revealing. Just because of how it makes me feel and what I attract. I want to turn from my old ways. Delete my old music, clothes, and anything not godly anymore! God is amazing I am connecting so many dots I've never even heard or thought of. Thank you porch!!

Was just told by a man he won't pursue me because I won't have sex before marriage (been there, done that years ago for years and not going back)-I reminded him that sex outside of marriage is fornication and is a sin. Oh well! No surprise.

Don’t give up you’ll find someone one day. I’m 37 and found a pretty cool dude but he’s not what completes me at all nor does he get me closer to God. I feel more close to him when I’m around other church members and am serving at church. I still sometimes have a hard time understanding sex before marriage but luckily God blessed me with a man who is stronger then me and can fight temptation.

For real though... It doesn't matter what someome is wearing. When you say what their wearing, when you describe them, you create images for us. How do we overcome that? All the perverted images all the while trying to rid it all. Sexual sin against your self beginning at 9 years old? Pornography fuling it. The describing words people use to describe sexual everything in sermons even stir it up. Never feeling like I will be good enough or measure up because I am not like all the rest. Preachers only have sermons for the physically attractive people. What about the rest, the world has rejected but God still calls his own, that God loves. The ones who have to struggle in marriage because they do not measure up to the marked areas of their life? The images they got in 20 secs that they still remember 20 years later? I HATE IT.

Girl I am far from perfect and God is sanctifying me every day. And now I have to go and tell one of the pastors my testimony and I’m still trying to figure out what to say. I know this was written a year ago but yes I agree with you just by someone’s words it makes things worse which is one of the reasons I left my job. I’m surrounded by sin daily I was at my job, where I live, etc. I unfortunately have to refrain from certain movies and shows that glorify lust and sex I even had to throw away the rest of my psych meds because I abused them last night. You’re seriously not alone everyone struggles daily with sin.

The best thing I could do is check myself. Like not too long ago when I wore leggings to church I never did it again because I saw that they were too tight even though my long shirt covered my butt it doesn’t matter because I want to be apart of something better and I want to glorify God.

@Tony Rowan They are in there 60's and 70's their libido level might have decreased and the dating pool in that age range is unfortunately little to none. So they are content but some still desire a companion maybe not for sex but for intimacy and partnership. It is not good for Man To Be Alone!
