The point of this episode is to show that the surveillance is not as strict as we are led to believe. The trick is to make the severed people feel like they are being watched 24/7 as a deterrent to rebellious behavior.

This show is so good at giving you clues but not letting you put them together and it’s as frustrating as engaging, really enjoying this reaction!

Yeah it's a little like the show Lost in that you desperately need to know what is going on 😅 just hope the ending will be WAY better than that of Lost.

Just started this episode, but there is an interesting interaction between Helly R. and her outie. To the outie, Helly R. tried to murder her. The outie woke up in the elevator being hanged and knows that Helly R. is the one responsible. They are both trying to punish the other now.

I love Ricken, he's so superficial and self-centered most of the time, but then he has that very sensitive side of him (his little "I don't want to be like my father" when he was crying on his wife, makes me wonder if he had been abused or if his father was just not there). I'm really curious to know what they're going to do with his character in season 2.

He's great. I always like pointing out what he said with the kelp hanging part. Asking Mark if he really wants to have the kelp hanging explained is kind of a nice gesture in a silly way. I interpret it as "I know this is weird to you and you're not as into this stuff so I'll spare you from it if you want".

HA! Watching them decide to do another episode was priceless! Man, both Maple and Arianna were super sharp in this one, they were figuring out everything! I can't remember how much I had figured out by this point. I know I had the same feeling about Helly. But not Miss Casey! You guys are good!

I love this show. Ricken's book opening up Mark's mind is hilarious. To us it's like superficial nonsense but imagine only ever being able to read handbooks for years while working 24/7 from your perspective. It would finally be a mental break from that place.

Been loving yall Severance reactions. I have a selfish request. Could yall watch the show "Mr. Robot?" Its a show that most likely helped inspire this show that came out 5 years prior. Its the best show ever created in my opinion. I feel that yall would dig it since you are enjoying this amazing journey with Severance. :)

Maple has a good point, seems like you could sever someone 'to' any certain geographic area, be it a floor of a building, all the way to it only triggering if you are removed from the country. Imagine the spy applications. What if you had multiple severed areas, like you can go in a severed space and read and remember info, and remember it again in another secure severed space, but have no access to the info outside of one of those secure rooms.
@RobertMorgan

What about multiple layers of severance, like you sever into your severed floor, but inside that space there are areas your severed self also is severed from your like max security area self.

That was the most hilarious reaction to this episode I've yet seen! I've never seen either of these two more irritated by an episode! In the best way of course. I felt the same way at the time. I was like....are they just stringing me along with this stuff? I know they've since finished the series so I can't wait to see episode 7 and 9, more than anything!

Im sure perhaps your Patrons or people in the comments here on youtube have said that 'outside in the stairwell' is outside of the severed area, so far we haven't had any indication that there are separate degrees of severance, so honestly I dont think Milcheck is severed, he's basically like Harmony, I dont think Harmony would want a severed person as a direct underling, it would be way too difficult

Kind eyes part was great. Suicides or self mutliations should be way, way more common in the Severance world. Unless some extra mind control is at play, just put yourself in the "innie" place. You are literally senteced for a world of work. No rest, no fun (except to that ordered by HR), not seeing the sun, outside world, not knowing your family, and having just contact with your coworkers, who can disappear at any time from your world. All that so after few years an outie will kill you anyways, when he/she retires. So what is the point? Take the bastard with yourself with a suicide, or force retirements by harming yourself visibly day after day. You, a an innie are dead anyway, so why to keep beeing the puppet of the outie, and Lumen?
