Hi @The Human Mechanic, thank you for your interest in ASTR! There is a fine line between causing and not causing pain in the site of the inflammation. Often times, rubbing/massaging the area that the painful will create more pain and aggravate the area. However, with the tools that I use, it avoids increasing the pain. I also let the patients know throughout the treatment to let me know if they feel any pain to avoid it.
