I am in tears after watching this video. Mr. Suzuki, you must be so proud of your daughter!! I have said the same words with the same passion to many, many people, only to see them fall on deaf ears. When a young person with this passion - and their very future at risk, speaks from their heart, there is an energy, a power that permeates the very air we breathe and vibration in our ears that send the message to our brains - but more importantly, to our hearts. It is from our hearts that the necessary changes will come forth. Because our brains are lost to the alpha wavelength we have been living and destroying in. We need to activate the heart of mankind in order to save our planet. I can see that the youth of this world is our answer. Their passion is our hope. Their conviction is our momentum. This is the world they will inherit. Let us help them to make it a marvelous place to be. Namaste.

@Wax David Suzuki lived on a private island that was co owned by Brazilian oil company, probably has one of the largest carbon footprint of all time. Just an older version of Greta Thunberg.

2019 here. New York and Miami have been abandoned because of sea level rise. The southwest is locked into permanent drought and people are drinking their own urine to survive. The polar ice caps have long since melted and people must cover themselves to keep from being permanently disfigured by the UV radiation. Birds and other wildlife are just a distant memory. Nothing grows in the poisoned soil, and people fight over rotting vegetables in the market because of the little food that's available. It's a straight up eco-nightmare.

Michael White Did you try to prove that anthropogenic climate change isn't real?! lol Ofcourse the things you said weren't gonna happen in just 27 years.
@phreephallin5 жыл бұрын
@@ertuncdelikaya8237 Why would I try to prove that AGW is not real? How can I prove a negative? You should go read up on logic and get back to me. Ice free arctic predictions have been made multiple times with deadlines before today. Fifty years ago, Paul Erlich wanted to poison people from third world countries with sterilents to lower their birth rates because he said mass starvation and water shortages were just a decade away. Now I see the same nonsense being pitched today. Why do you environmentalists hate humans so much?
@ertuncdelikaya82375 жыл бұрын
Michael White "Why would I try to prove that ... ?" Why wouldn't you? I didn't expect much logic from you, tbh. I know how logic works and I'm aware that one can not prove a negative. That's why I said "try to". I'm used to seeing the science denier types on the Internet saying shit like "here are the proofs that evolution isn't real". "Why do you environmentalists hate humans so much?" Hahaha OK dude.

@@dougrobblee3833 She literally said she was afraid to go outside. History has proven that to be an overly fearful assessment of the environmental hazards caused by burning fossil fuels. Thirty years later, and the gas lighting continues.

"The most extreme examples of climate change were the ice ages and they were really a catastrophe for life in many parts of the world. And we don’t understand them. We just don’t know why they started or why they come and go in a more or less periodic fashion. It’s all a big mystery. And if we don’t understand ice ages we don’t understand climate."~Freeman Dyson Dec. 15th 1923--Feb. 28 2020

Also, read the review paper titled "Position of the American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada: Vegetarian Diets". Vegetarians have been reported to have lower body mass indices than nonvegetarians, as well as lower rates of death from ischemic heart disease; vegetarians also show lower blood cholesterol levels; lower blood pressure; and lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and prostate and colon cancer.

Probably 90% of the poor and homeless are so simply because they are too lazy or entitled to work. They want someone to just give them food, shelter, and security... for free... for nothing. They don't want to contribute to society or the workforce. The result is, you become homeless and hungry. You get what you deserve. Now, let's hear another ad hominem from Priya, since that's the best argument that can be conjured.

I first saw this in May of 2017. I knew it was 25 years ago that she spoke and also knew what had been done since then. It is a shame, nay a tragedy we such a disservice to our only planet. But look at how we treat each other !!! Between wars and now world-wide terrorism we show no Love To One another. So without love we are doomed, cursed. We see each others separately. We do not see we are all one and we fight each other as if we are not from the same origin and live on the same small planet.

Here ya go sweetie, I fixed everything for you in “Mankinder (Occupying Chairlifts)”! A guy working in the white house calls on an underachieving old college buddy, to solve the economy from it’s debt and unemployment troubles. A couple brief conversations with the reluctant skibum about inheritance rules ends up changing the direction and purpose of modern human life! Or watch the shorter “Inheriting an Abundant Earth” on youtube then sign the petition, and share it!

Severn Suzuki is definitely a chip off the old block and will undoubtedly carry on the multi million dollar environmentalist business established by her father, who by the way, is one of the largest carbon footprint makers. Maybe the Suzuki family could donate some of their millions to poor children. Make their actions reflect their words.
