I did do the top stitching on the exterior around where you had trouble and I didn’t find it troublesome however I did the version without the exterior pockets and my interior was cotton. Thinking maybe since you had thicker materials was harder to maneuver? I’ve never done a bag with the interior and exterior both being waxed canvas! I’ll have to try this! Love your shop and your products are always top quality!

I've had this pattern gor over 5 years and just made two! I too get ahead of myself and don't always read through the instructions. I did't know I was to top stitch. I just did it. I don't remember how other than to say I made my machine into open arm and stitched one side before stitching the other side panel on and top stitched it. Not much help , huh. Thanks for the vid!

There are no patterns or measurements. It would be easier if I showed them. It is impossible to invent measurements.

I'm trying to make this pattern with denim and having the exact same problem trying to top stitch. Maybe you just need a really soft and flexible fabric to make that work. :-/

Honestly, if I'd have know it was SUCH a quick sew I might've taken a little more time when recording! Oh well, hindsight is 20/20. Maybe I'll do another one in the future.

Yes, I was NOT expecting it be this quick of a sew or I would've slowed it down a bit! Usually it's the opposite, and I'm trimming or speeding up the majority of what I film trying to get the video to a reasonable viewing time.
