Great video, Luke is charming, what fun! I have two grandchildren and they really do make life so joyous! Great makes, the skirts, so simple and quick, but look so good on you. It just shows that you don't have to have complicated to be stylish. A great sharing for a new sewer!

I've been in a bit of a lull lately with my sewing. I am going on a holiday with my daughter (we live in Queensland, Australia, and are going on the Spirit of the Outback train to Longreach). It will be hot and I have lots of shorts and capri pants but need some more tops. I bought a couple of Love Notions patterns, yep, that's as far as it has gotten. I have printed one off and put it together. Have some fabric.. so, now that you have inspired me, let's get started. It's a dull rainy day today (goodness knows we need this rain because it is so dry and coming up to the bush fire season) so it's a perfect day to get stuck into things. Thanks for your inspiration. You could have sewn a button on the top underneath of the tail and then a loop inside his trousers to attach them.Or a buttonhole(or two)on the top of the tail and a button inside the waistband,to attach.

Lovely makes for both you and your wee guy Suzy!! I’ve made a cosy top and then made a separate cowl which I can choose to have on or not. I also made a wee beanie hat from some left over faux angora to match a cosy top ( really dislike having lots of leftover fabric). 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Loved the tiger suit and the ears looked fine to me 🐯...what about a press stud for the tail fixing. The tiger outfit is adorable as is the shark outfit. I absolutely love the double gauze sparkly dress on you. Its gorgeous! I wish I could get pretty double gauze like that here in Canada but I seem to only be able to get baby pastel double gauze here. Pastels look aweful on me unfortunately.

Ah great idea on the tail. Don't think I would have had enough elastic to do that, but I'll keep it in mind for another time for sure!

Your hair looks fab.I love your son he's so full of energy and joy with his tiger outfit.Your makes look lovely on you.Could you give more tips about sewing with double guaze..needle used,stitch s izes.How to keep the crinkles in while sewing.Thanks

Thanks Maureen. Oh gosh, he is SO full of energy...wish I could just have even a smidgen of it for myself, lol! Oh yes, I should make a vlog about sewing with double gauze, thanks for the suggestion. But for now I recommend using a sharp needle (70 or 80 max size), be careful when cutting out as its easy to get it 'off grain' - so just take your time, use a slightly larger stitch length as the fabric is a bit delicate and unpicking tiny stitches would be very hard, and the crinkles to tend to just stay in the fabric...perhaps don't iron too harshly? And like I said in the video, I would pick a simple pattern for your first time with double gauze, just to get used to it. Hope those suggestions help in the mean time! x
