These videos are so fun. My style is classic East Coast so I have the same closet now as I did 20 years ago but I still like to see what's new...or rather, new again. As a teenager, I wore the vest (waistcoat) sans shirt the first time around. I look at my pix now and think "why was I half naked?!" I finally get why my mother refuses to wear clothing trends as an adult that she had worn when she was young. 🤣

Thank you! My favorite video every time is the trends video. I will say that the very detailed, slim to skinny pants with that twisted top is so so good. Would look wonderful in a formal fabric or in casual black denim. The whole look seemed elegant to me. Again thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to not only investigate and report on the High Street but you also found us the perfect patterns to achieve "the look."

Thanks for the spring fashion ideas, I never realised there were so many different pattern companies out there and have only ever used the big ones that have been around for year such as Simplicity, New Look etc 🤷♀️

Love these videos. For the pointy Big collar shirt/blouse the Anna shirt from république du chiffon is a good option too.

For the knit trousers, Sinclair patterns have the (PDF) Metro pull on pants and Vienna jeggings, the Metro look just like regular trousers and the Vienna (which also has a moto option) can be widened to make them appear more ‘trouser like’. Both have lots of really nice details such as a faux fly and pockets which adds to the illusion, I think they’re a perfect match for what you showed us!

I had jersey trousers (or knit pants here in the US) about 10 years ago and I loved them! They were definitely secret pajamas. It was like being able to wear PJs to work. Mine were in a herringbone knit and no one could tell they were knit. I'm printing out my Joan Trousers pattern and making these. Thanks.

My question is: Is high street trends the same as fast fashion trends? I mean do they following the same inspiration base? I imagine fast fashion follows couture. Does high street also follow couture? Thank you for your out put.
