OMG what a life saver your video is! I have been struggling for days with my welt pocket instructions on another trouser pattern. Then I tried the Closet Core instructions and still struggled. Thanks for this sewalong Angela. I love your channel and this particular video has really encouraged me to have a go at making trousers. One question I do have is about the pocket bags. You said that you wanted to do the opposite to the instructions in the pattern, i.e. place the right sides together instead of the wrong sides as stated in the pattern. But I noticed this meant that the inside of the pocket showed the wrong side of the patterned fabric. Is that what you intended? Is this one of those 'personal preference' things? I've watched part 2 as well and love the red binding.

Ah yes - the instruction tell you to have the pretty side of the fabric showing on the inside of the trousers - ie not the inside of the pocket, and to do French seams, but then tells you to do it the wrong way round. so this isn't a personal preference, I just didn't think the instructions were quite right?!?!? But I also may have misread them myself 😂. I hope that kind of makes sense 😊 Thank you 🥰
