I decided to time myself making a small wrap and I did the sewing and pressing it in 14 min (including replacing an empty bobbin), and I didn't rush because I like slow and steady 🪡🐇🐢 I tend to cut or rip a few squares of fabric at a time so Ithat was harder to time but it adds maybe 2 min. What's your sewing speed ? 🐇or 🐢

Thanks for the nice video! What I do wonder, you say 'reusable'. Do you intend to give your gift wrapped in your handmade gift wrap, and then 'take it back' for your next gift? Or is the 'gift receiver' supposed to re-use it? Just curious :) Because I kept the gift wrap you gave to me, hahaha!

Well it depends! I like to give away the ones I made, because I can make more and many of my friends don't sew ;) But from what I've read, in Japans it's often the norm to return it unless it's special occasion.

It’s a bit daunting to get started, but maybe you can find a tutorial for your specific sewing machine and a super simple project to experiment with. Even just setting it up is a great first step. I hope you give it a try!

Just dive right in start with small beginner friendly projects like this, if you mess up it's ok it's not permanent seam rip it out and try again.
