Wow a completed sewing room tour! You guys asked for it and I needed more time to finish up work on Frau's skirt so here it is. I have way too much stuff so this is kind of all over the place and it's VERY LONG so if there's anything specific you would like some more detail on let me know and I'll try to do more targeted videos. I think one particularly I'd like to make it's own video is sewing essentials or my most used items kind of thing so also let me know if that would be interesting to you! Or a filming equipment video? lots of ideas. Hope this isn't too hard to follow, as always if you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them!
There's no skip ahead this time sorry it's just a blend of everything in my sewing room.

First of all the amount of storage space you have is glorious. A creative person's dream. Right now, my art space is really cramped but once I have the space, I know where to get my shelving inspiration lol. Second, your energy in this video is so engaging and yet so chaotic I love it. Unhinged Minjee is a delight. Thanks for sharing your space!!

I sew on the dining room table so I usually have one or two "chairs of despair" where all the things live that I am working on/was working on/have not yet put away... Not gonna lie, your room made my inner hoarding dragon very happy! I mean it. And your outfit, that lace collar is so cute. If you ever make a bullet journal video, you must show off your washi tape collection, it's just too good. Completely understand the coverstitch issue. BTW did you take a lingerie class as well? Baby Bat was so not going to star in this video.😅 Looking forward to see more of Frau!

Loved this video! I really enjoy long form content lately and I love to see how other people organize their workspaces. 😊 Have you ever thought about making a custom dress form? I guess it might be difficult to work with if you're making new structured garments for every costume, so maybe I've answered my own question... 😅 The crafting/sewing room becoming the cat's room is too relatable. But I also think that if I'm giving my cat a life I'm jealous of, I'm doing something right! 😊

i love that like, you try things, and then you dont like them, so you stop. because for me for w/e reason when i try something and i dont like it i dont realize that and i keep going? its like, that quote whoever said where its like 'i dont do homework in my life'. sometimes you just gotta realize where your energy is best spent and what makes you happy lol. im running into that now where im trying to read like, ALL of the costuming/fashion design/sewing related books. but im getting so burnt out and i just need to find the ones that are like... especially interesting and/or useful to me instead of just. pounding my head in w overwhelming knowledge or something lol

@@boots1622fan aah that is a lot, we had a whole half semester class on textiles so that's a ton of content to get through. one of the big exercises we did was to identify swatches - we were given a big bag of fabric swatches and sheets of paper with names of fiber and weave and had to sort them all. it might be a good way to test yourself and get more familiar!

I am sooooo jealous of the space you have. I too would like a whole room completely set up for all the crafts and sewing I would like to do. It's great to see how you've set everything up and to see all the little tools you use. You mentioned the Joann's tube turners and oooof yah they are basically useless. Many regrets on that purchase. I did recently revamp my sewing set up, it is MUCH MUCH more useful than it used to be, but I am still incredibly limited on storage space as all of it is in my bedroom. Cosplay and sewing in general is such a space sucker.

@KittieRoses
@KittieRoses 2 жыл бұрын
@@moth.faerie It was the opposite for me, I was sewing on the dining room table, it was such a hassle having to clean up everything once I was finished for the day and then get it back out when I was going to start again. Now I've got these nice tables with wheels that I can move around as needed (kinda, I stored bins under them so it's sadly a little more work to move them now) and I put up a ton of shelving, mounted my monitors etc etc. My bedroom is such an upgrade from the dinning room, but still far too small for what I'd like. It's close though and I don't bother my roommates with my things being left out. One day I will have a huge cosplay/sewing/craft room and space for all the bins xD
