July was so busy I did lots of summery themed things! I'm ready for it to be fall tho 😅 what's your favorite thing you've done this summer? Also a tooth update - I've had my first dental surgery and it went very well and I only need one more surgery. I'm in recovery for three months and hopefully my body does it's job, but like I mentioned before it's super expensive 😭 so if you wanna help me out please watch my videos with ads on! I really liked the vlog! Nice variety to the sewing content :) Totally baffled how different your blueberries look from ours (Finland)! I knew we had the forest variety and in other countries blueberries grow on bushes, but have never seen it and surprised me how different the plants look. Just went blueberry picking last weekend and it's really not as aesthetic bcs you have to squat deep to get to the berries :D But they grow in beautiful forests and taste amazing, so definitely worth the squatting and mosquito attacks. The pirate outfits all look great! I'd go for 1 or 2, I think. The first one would be cool bcs of the unique bodice - would be very interesting to see you copy it! The second one has lots of cool layers and I think the swoosh will be awesome! All the best for your dental surgery!

thank you! ok so after I read your comment I went to google to see what blueberries look like in Finland and there's a whole youtube cannel called relaxing finland and they have a video where they go pick wild blueberries! it looks like your blueberries are much smaller and darker than ours! also i think my vlog was maybe a little deceptive haha it's not quite as aesthetic if i'm not dressed up and it's like 100F (~37C?)

@@moth.faerie Have to check out that channel, sounds nice! They are quite small and very dark, that's true. Also the inside is dark and not pale as with the bush blueberries. Makes for a pretty purple colour if you add them to your porridge :) 37C sounds awful. We had a few hot weeks here but luckily nothing over 30/32 degrees. Really appreciate the cooler climate here, I'm not made for the heat :D

for the velvet long one-piece dress im just gonna rely on my EGL/lolita "training" and suggest vests, corset tops, big accessories (like those chainmail shoulder things were rly good!!!!), the belt idea is great, etc.... you could also try to style it less in like a "court" or "knight" style way and maybe go witchy with it? like wear one of yr witch hats, and the like.... utility belt from that previous making video you had? all in all, there's lots of ways to style a piece like that, just gotta be a lil extra creative and think abt *layers* a lot. and how layering different things can (vets, aprons, corsets, jackets, etc.) change the look or the aesthetic yr going for!

I get a lot of facebook ads for season festivals so that's how I found the lavender farm, the blueberry picking I I look for fruit picking near me, and the gardens are just local gardens! I just search around for local gardens or farms a lot bc I like to be around plants haha. aah thats so exciting about going to renfaire! for outfits definitely can't go wrong with the staple flowy shirt + big skirt + corset combo 😊

Where did you get your boots from that you wore blueberry picking? I have the worst luck finding cool adventuring boots...It doesn't help that I have small elf feet though. I'm now dining to try the mushroom onigiri!!!! I'm excited about the leather working and pirate designs!!! I'm loving the luna moth ring! I would love to make a leather belt with all kinds of pouches and things hanging off of it! I would put like cool art supplies, a cup, maybe cool potions bottles and magical things on it. I filmed that day pretty immediately after Roe v Wade was overturned. I'm still upset. I've also watched as half the country doesn't seem to care as over a million people have died from a pandemic that still isn't over. I haven't felt safe in my country, frankly ever, but especially not in the past 6 years. Yes, we are more privileged than many other countries but that doesn't absolve the system that's been created here, and if you think that this country doesn't have slavery or starvation you're being willfully ignorant. I'm not going to keep my opinions out of my videos.
