I just have to say I was having a horrible time trying to fix a singer se300 (purchased used/broken with a thread break error) that just would not stitch right at any speed above medium and constantly threw a thread break error (even though the thread wasnt always broken). A year of taking it apart when I was bored came to a screeching halt when I decided to tinker with it once again a few days ago. The universe must have felt I suffered enough over the past year messing with this thing and suggested your video. The stopper was completely shifted to it's furthest position. Readjusted it and it's stitching like a champ! It hasnt missed a beat in over 100k stitches this week. Such a simple thing! Thank you very much!

I’ll be godamned. I’ve messed with the timing. The needle depth and height and all this other bs for 3 damn days. Your the first person after watching several hour long videos on timing etc. that’s mentioned that hook spring. Mine was jammed and wouldn’t have noticed until I see yours flex some Thanks dude. For real.

Mine kept getting floppy even after adjusting the spring. I dropped a round headed straight pin in there as a spacer so the spring can’t get pushed back in. It’s working fine after doing that.

Can't thank enough for your explanation. But, I have a question. I got secondhand singer m1000 series and the bobbin case doesn't move if I put the cover. It makes the needle stuck on the flat part of bobbin case .What should I do then?
