Yippy! This is the best tutorial I have ever seen. I don't know what I would have done by just reading the directions that came with the sewing maching. As an instructor you are amazing and make what seemed hard for me extremely easy. Thank you very much.

Never knew the default setting is supposed to be 00. I have the Brother CS7000X and it defaults to 01. That explains why my markings on the throat plate weren’t accurate. 🤪 Now, I that can get accurate measurements, I will also use the seam guide inserted (explained in another video) to keep my fabric going straighter as I have a tendency to wander a bit. Thanks for these videos!

I just bought this machine second hand and the previous owner didn't use the needle down position whenever the machine stops. I looked in the manual and it said to hold down the "-" button on the left stitch selector button while turning the machine on then letting go once the machine turns on. I have tried this but get an error message and beeping until I turn the machine off again. Can anyone help? I'm so used to stopping in the needle down position when sewing that this is driving me nuts!

I use the CE1125 machine, and until your video could not find any information - including the manual - on how to position the needle to the right for 1/4" quilting. Yea!

Please slow down, it sounds like they sped up the video. I just got this machine a couple of months ago and absolutely hate it.
@bobeneellis3624 жыл бұрын
Can you say why?
@brat464 жыл бұрын
@@bobeneellis362 I am use to the older machines (70's and earlier), this machine will bog down if you are sewing several layers together (think of the pleating on mask currently being made. ). It will automatically default the needle to start on the left hand side, where as earlier machine start in the middle. So if you are in the middle of sewing something and have to stop then start and forget to check where the needle is at you end up with two different seam lines. Seam ripper time. It has plastic parts inside and seems to vibrate more than my mostly metal sewing machines as it is much lighter in weight. I purchased this mach more to take to quilting classes and such as it is getting harder to find parts for my older machines. This machine is what I call a throw away. Cheaper to buy new than fix.
@nataliaromanova95564 жыл бұрын
@@brat46 So basically you just don't like change. I've had this machine for about 7 years now. never taken it to be serviced. I've had some glitches now and again, but nothing major. Over all it's a relatively simple machine. A lot of stitches I will never need, but that's ok too. I have my gripes with it, but I accept the machine for what it is. And honestly, while I have a HD machine, it's pretty rare I ever switch over to it. This one will sew most things just fine as long as you use the right needle and understand your fabric.
@brat464 жыл бұрын
@@nataliaromanova9556 I don't like the fact that basically the new machines are 90% plastic. I consider this machine a throw away. I use it in classes or on retreats so that if it breaks it is no loss to toss it in the trash can.
@nataliaromanova95564 жыл бұрын
@@brat46 Plenty of metal machines out there. All your complaints for the most part were complaints about it being different than your old machine. Mine has been going for several years, so your complaint about it being a throw away seems rather silly.
