I made an Edwardian Ballgown - Inspired by Charles Worth but covered in stars - Celestial Gown Pt 2

In this video, I talk about the plan of making this 1901-1903 dress, the ideas that Astraea and I had. . After that, I look in detail inot the dresses that Astraea picked, and then I make the dress, using machine embroidery, digitization, metallic threads, and a lot of hand sewing! Finally, Astraea will put on the dress and show us how it looks on!

I am a dancer and I feel the s bend would be LESS healthy, it gives you the "chicken" posture that in the long run can hurt your lower back. Call me cynical but I feel the separate sleeve without the cap would be easier to fit for a dressmaker - less measuting

Hi! I spend 1.5 hours a week in ballet & pointe class. I used to dance more, though. I know exactly what you mean... the S bend/Edwardian era corsets always make my lower back twinge just when I look at them. I know it's at least partly an illusion caused by padding, but it still looks like a horrible position for your spine to be in. It's one reason why I am hesitant to try that era's clothing.
