I just love watching your videos. I have a question though. After you sewed on the zipper, couldn't you do the topstitching at that time before sewing up the sides. It seems like it would be easier.

Just make the strap about 2" shorter and for the pocket, just try and hold up a square and see how it looks. Start bigger as you can always trim it down:)

Yes one both questions the foam and the zipper. If you zipper is too long you can trim it down and add taps. Thanks for asking
