I firmly believe that as law enforcement should be held to a higher standard precisely because they are aware of the law unlike the average person, so if they break the law, their sentences should be higher, the same applies on the flip side. So in a situation like this, this excrement should have also been charged with attempted murder of police officers. He was armed with and used a dangerous weapon with 100% intent. Also, considering this thing is a child pornographer absolute pity they weren't allowed to just end his miserable life on the spot. But that's another story.

The reason he added that was because he wanted to explain how close it was to getting the officer. It was necessary info to get how dangerous the situation was. So by your theory, if someone can withstand a taser for a certain amount of time, they should be let go? No, he refused to let go of both knives and injured officers, they were well within their rights to use lethal force, but opted for non lethal. Those officers should be commended for handling a dangerous predator with as much care as they could, despite his actions. If you listened to the ending, he’s a chronic meth user and was able to withstand the taser due to his drug use. A drug addicted pedophile, imagine what kind of damage he would have caused to a child if he would’ve gotten ahold of one.
