What I will never understand is how someone can be victimized and then choose to make someone else their victim. Watching your mother being abused should make you an advocate for stopping abuse, not a perpetrator. Being abused as a child should make you hope that your children never experience that kind of suffering.
@bf60816 жыл бұрын

They explained it. They never thought it was wrong because they were raised that way and it's in their culture. Boy follows man, so what man does boy does. I take it that you might be from the US. The culture in US is different, even if there was abuse in the home, it teaches that it is wrong. But in some cultures, even though a person doesn't like to be abused, for them it is not wrong that they get abused, thus not wrong that they also abuse others.
@JennHayden6 жыл бұрын
so with that logic..... what i will never understand is how someone can live at the poverty level and then choose to raise children in that same poverty. was it not enough to see you parent struggle to put food on the table? was it not enough to live in a crime and drug filled neighborhood? my point is obviously if it were that simple there would be no low income people.

That’s just how the psychology of abuse works, it’s insanely common. Those poor ignorant victims are so traumatized so intensely that their brains go on constant heightened alert that fogs out your cognitive abilities, and if some other girl is getting it, not only do they now have someone that can relate to them, a friend that gets it- a bond, but also it means that they have someone to help shoulder their burden. When your brain experiences prolonged extreme trauma it operates differently, they don’t weigh their choices the same. It’s like when a person is drowning, they commonly end up trying to climb their rescuer in a panic, and that they can cause them both to drown. Yet you wouldn’t necessarily call the original drowner a bad person. We are just animals and at our core we will do what it takes to survive when panicked, even you would if pushed there. It has very little to do with how morally good you are when you aren’t under constant extreme stress, and if you haven’t experienced that level of traumatic stress it’s almost impossible to fully understand. That main son however, there is more evil there than just cultural/situational brain washing.

I’m a single mom in Florida who adopted a survivor of human trafficking by her own parents. It’s been 5 years since, and she ran away from me, after she turned 18, last year, moving in with the male owner of where she was getting therapy. I also adopted her younger sister, who was my biological daughters best friend for 3 years.. I’ve worked with the FBI AND STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE in our County and both parents are now free, less than 5 years later-( NOT MY CHOICE, but we weren’t allowed too make an impact statement at their sentencing, due too the girls young age) she was IV DRUGGED FOR MORE THAN 2 years by her real parents... THERE ARE NO LAWS TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE US, even in the States.. just suck it up and FIX THE NIGHTMARE WE (the State) gave you! I worked hard too put 2 of her rapist in jail, and tried to change the law in Florida....It’s REAL, and so messed up!! No assistance for me or her sister, I pay out of pocket with my own money for help... Therapy 2xs a week for each of us-I never dreamed I’d be in this situation! It’s horrifying, sad-and happening in your neighborhood! Be AWARE! Report what the victims CANT!!! Vote and change the laws! It matters😔 Thanks for reading my reply🙏🏽✌🏽 A mom in Florida

It’s horrible, very sad and actually getting worse! I have no respect for the guy whatsoever but I’m glad there’s videos like this where criminals are willing to talk! It sheds light on the truth of trafficking and we viewers can educate ourselves and help somehow! Nobody should ever go through this :(

So after years of taking advantage of the vulnerable and the desperate, bullying, emotionally and physically abusing those weaker than them, these people now believe they can redeem themselves by finding religion and all will be forgiven. And what about their victims who are probably physically and mentally traumatised for life. If they hadn`t been caught they`d probably still be doing this today, because they did not stop as an agony of conscience. I believe not in religion but rather in natural justice and sooner or later these people will suffer the consequences one way or another.

Interesting to see all the hate filled comments here. What did family did is no doubt horrendous, but they are a product of their environment. They aren't disguised to hide their identities,nor does the interview seem coerced,so perhaps they agreed to be on camera in the hopes of further atonement and helping the outside world to understand that such a horrific reality exists. As for finding Jesus, haven't you all done something similar at some point? Everyone has either sought out religion or a sense of belonging to some cause as a means of shaking off an undesirable aspect of their own lives, even joining a frat counts as such. Do not be so quick to judge, but be glad that this family is no longer putting young girls out on the street to line their pockets

I am always shocked at how many people get all emotional about an issue that based on hysteria and misinformation. More people everyday seem to pop up ready to make some money on blogs or lecture tours continuing to enflame what turn out to be example after example of lies and exaggeration. The empathy and respect we show for real, and maybe real, victims blinds us to small numbers of problems. There have always been dysfunctional families and abandoned children. In my lifetime world population has grown four times. If problems look bigger than before, yes, they are - about four times bigger. As a State Dept employee I have lived in Albania and now Thailand and I assure you I feel much safer than in the USA. We must weigh that when we decide to take some major effort to do some that we never did before. These are still the concern for local police and for local social service efforts. Wake up - don't be enflamed about this stuff by hysteria that rewards people selling it.

A lot of people who literally have never been in their shoes are being super judgy here. I am not excusing what they did, and watching this was so sad and horrible at the same time. However, you have to understand this in the eyes of someone who has been abused. A lot of scientific research shows that humans who have been abused as a child become child predators themselves. It may seem illogical at first, but think about children who grow up with parents who are drug addicts. If your dad is a hardcore alcoholic, chances are that you will either mostly abstain from alcohol your whole life, or become an alcoholic yourself. It always depends on how you deal with your trauma, and if you were able to do so at all. This family obviously grew up in violence. The mother said she was abused her whole life, how could she know that it's wrong when it's all she's ever known? Your environment shapes who you are, especially as a child. Again, I am not excusing their actions, and thankfully they served their time. My point is, everything has perspective. I really hope they are better humans now.

People do change. Life is full of duality you have to know true evil to understand unconditional love for some. Creators love can transform anyone. Myself have been through this process, i have no hate for anyone who has hurt me or wish anything bad on anyone. Being human on earth gives opportunity to learn from all circumstances be it predatory or prey we all participate in one way or another with this system especially being 1st world citizens. All of our ultimate journey is to grow to better understanding to reach our highest selves no one is better than another. The vilest of human to the most loving, we are all God's children, were here to learn experience live and die. I'm happy to see people sharing their honest experiences. We can learn from each other, and grow to make better choices. They are brave for sharing their story and choosing different life.

These people are full of shi... They're just trying to repair their image. There is no social forgiveness for what they did.

Jesus can forgive these people for all the pain they have caused those young girls. Those children were not put on earth to be bought sold and abused. It's the hardest thing in the world for me to be able to forgive people that participate in human sex trafficking.

No one really rold these people to do this . Lot of them choose to do it. No one forces you to be in such a way. Some of them choose to do it.
