I was molested as a child at church and that ignited a fire that it's taken decades to extinguish. As a female, my drive was off the charts! I could never be satisfied. It almost destroyed me. I wish this never happened to me. But I have no excuse now that I know Christ. Sexual sin is the worst. It can lead to a long road of depression and self-loathing. Run as fast as you can from sexual sin.

I even heard there are women who become promiscuous ( sp ? ) after having been raped. But it makes sense. Even though you feel disgusted mentally and emotionally, but you learned how it feels physically, and if a person feels physical pleasure when molested or raped, it is not, and I repeat, not their fault, they cannot comtrol what it feels like downstairs, but what you feel nentally and emotionally is what matters, and if it is against your will, yes, you will feel worse than filthy abd you will feel unexplainable trauma. I mean, people can consent one minute, and feel dirty and ashamed later as a sign of conviction, but when you never gave permission from get go, the difference is, it is not your fault. So, it makes sense it ignites as fire, a major wild fire for some, after molestation and rape. But unless someone is in Christ and has enough knowledge, some survivors feel like too damaged of goods so what is the point in not having sex. It really needs to be on the forefront for those who sleep around due to trauma how to regain purity that is stolen from them that they not give away.

@@chriskhall It definitely happened. I knew I believed the Gospel and that Jesus was the only One who I could go to for eternal life, but I questioned how could I be saved and continue in this sin, especially when I was consistently trying to decipher fruit in my life. It wasn’t until I fully kept my eyes on the fact that Jesus’ sacrifice and shed blood is where I needed to keep my gaze and held onto the promises God makes in His word and wrestled with them that I started to experience true freedom and lasting freedom from that sin. I’ve done so many programs and they did contain helpful principles, but truly, I can only credit the supernatural grace of Jesus and believing in His promises and, like the persistent widow, holding on to those promises. All glory belongs to Him. My testimony goes more into specifics. God bless!

@@chriskhall hey, man! I can tell you that I've never doubted God's Grace to save me, but I definitely questioned if I loved God many times. I was confronted by John 14:23 all the time, because I knew what I was doing couldn't be justified by scriptures and I was too addicted to quit. I've battled many times with pornography, but every time, I've left a door open just in case I wanted to come back to it. The last time I decided to quit for good when I was reading the Bible, 2 Co 6:13 to be exact. Those words spoke differently to me, and I took the USB where I stored all the pornography and wiped it clean. I've deleted all searches and apps that would make me fall into pornography again and I threw away all the vaseline that I used to masturbate. I've also told my family that I had decided to quit it for good and told them all the traps that made me want to watch pornography and masturbate. One of them was when I was alone at home. So I made a commitment with them to exercise, study or clean the place to avoid being tempted. In this battle, you'll want someone to help watch your back. Yesterday, it was a tough day. I had urges throughout the day, but God gave me grace and I was able to avoid it. I started watching pornography and masturbating in a period where I wasn't praying and reading the Bible. I'd only do it when I ate or went to church. Now, I understand that if I want to be excellent I must walk in the spirit (Galatians 5:16). If you're struggling with it, don't think twice. Throw away anything that will take your mind to these practices, talk to someone from the body of Christ (James 5:16), and start praying and studying the Bible more. For 6 years, I couldn't see a way out, but God is patient. I don't even know if you're struggling with it. I hope not, because I know how terrible this is. But if you are, God loves you, brother. He wouldn't have sent His Son if He didn't.

@@thebeatagp AMEN brother Allen Parr I really appreciate your Christ centered and Scripturally accurate content for the furtherance of The Gospel I've been watching your videos the past two years. You're exactly right sexual sin is destroying the trust our brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord have in each other and God's Existence, Character and Will being revealed through Creation, history and His Word. ATHEISM AIN'T GOT NOTHING NEW OR BETTER TO OFFER THAN THE VERY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS THEY'RE CRITICAL OF SO IT'S HYPOCRISY AT IT'S FINEST 😂. Hello this is for all you Atheists, unbelievers and skeptics. I'm going to address a few misconceptions and lies about God's Character and His Word. The Bible doesn't support chattel slavery or anything else Immoral. Ok so Atheists and unbelievers say God is either Immoral, incompetent or not responsible so let's see what The Scriptures actually say. God revealed himself and created a nation in a real, historical context. It was a world with a slave-based economy, with city states often at war with each other, with polygamous marriages to ensure the continuation of family lines. The laws of the Old Testament regulate this behaviour. Slaves are to be treated humanely (Exodus 21:11). They are given rights and not seen as mere possessions. Hebrew slaves were able to buy their own freedom. Human trafficking is condemned (Exodus 21:16). In contrast to the law code of Babylon, Old Testament Israel was a light to the nations. The Old Testament law and narratives do not stand alone. Jesus is now the best example of what we read. So the moral teaching of the Bible cannot be summarised by a quote taken out of context from the Old Testament to demonize God and His Word. Slavery was permitted in Old Testament law but it was regulated by God giving the Israelites instructions on how to fairly and humanely treat their slaves (it was like indentured servitude where someone could work for you if they owed debts or needed income not cruel like chattel slavery). God allowed the people of Israel to own slaves since they themselves has already experienced over 400 years of generations of Egyptian slavery and knew how inhumane it was to be beaten, overworked and taxed so God set them apart from other nations and cultures around them by giving them a fair way to treat their slaves since slavery had already existed in the world but it doesn't mean God condoned it just used it for His Will to bring Good And in the light of the whole scriptural teaching, we find the reasons for its ultimate abolition (Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 4:1-3; Philemon 15-16 and Galatians 3:28). The Word of God provided the moral standard against slavery in the Roman Empire and against the slave trade in the New World. But what of genocide or holy war in the book of Joshua? Several things could be pointed out. The use of warfare in the ancient world did not always mean literal total destruction, even when events are described in such terms. Furthermore, the book of Joshua does not describe a genocide. It is not a race who are being wiped out, as in genocide, but a religious practice which was often appalling and degrading. Those who repent (like Rahab from Jericho or Ruth) are not destroyed but become part of Israel. It is not the racial group that is in view but their "detestable practices". However, after all is said, we must still acknowledge that God brought judgment on the nations of Canaan. It is not our place as believers isn't to sugar-coat the Bible. For some skeptics, this is enough to make God a moral monster. But the fact is that Jesus continued to affirm that God is a Judge who will bring a future judgment on all peoples and all nations. God’s judgment will be just. The list of Old Testament stories rejected by critics often leads to a similar dismissal of the New Testament teaching of Jesus on the existence of hell. After all, what was the Flood of Genesis or the conquest of Joshua if not a glimpse of future judgment? Hell does not demonstrate cruelty on God’s part, but it does demonstrate His Holiness and our moral accountability. Perhaps this is the real reason many people rail against the God of the Bible? It is not that they think He is a moral monster, but that they are afraid He is a moral Judge, and that has implications for our behaviour now. God is an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being and we as His creatures have Eternal souls and spirits so the punishment for our sins against Him must therefore also be Eternal but so must the reward for righteousness that's why He sent His Son Jesus to live a perfectly righteous and sinless Life (which none of us could ever possibly expect to do) suffer the humiliating and torturous death of crucifixion to shed His Own Blood willingly so that all who willingly accept His gift of salvation by grace through faith in Him will be saved and given Eternal life because that's what God wants is for us to willingly accept His gift of salvation and choose life. Exodus 21:20-21 literally speaks about capital punishment befalling anyone who mistreats their slaves so yes people are taking Scripture out of context to demonize God who literally promises that slaves who are mistreated under someone else's authority is to be avenged. When we hear the word “slavery” we think of innocent human beings, kept prisoner for life, having no rights under law and so reduced to animals. This is clearly immoral because it is unjust: the slave has done nothing to deserve the treatment. The situation described as “slavery” in the Bible was nothing like this. It is more accurately described as one of indentured servitude. Many “slaves” were indentured servants, working for a term of years Some other “slaves” were prisoners. There were no prisons. Prisoners had to work to live like everyone else. Some had life sentences. Some served a term and were released. People didn't beat their good slaves but treated them well and protected their assets thus. But no matter how rebellious a slave was, you couldn't just beat them to death. And if you knocked out their tooth or damaged their eye then you had to set them free. (Exodus 21:26). God wasn't using what other nations did because He wanted to set His Chosen People of Israel apart from the cruel, inhumane and unjust systems other cultures had so He gave them a fair way to treat their slaves and servants. There is a lot of ignorance on this topic which is understandable given the age we live in but it's not the nefarious set up we think of when we think of modern slavery. The question Atheists must ask themselves is how come the Jews aren't being accused of slavery and human trafficking if they're guilty of it in The Bible and why would white slave owners rip out pages from The Old and New Testament Scriptures to justify their owning blacks as slaves if The Bible already justified slavery?

Most of my urges seem to hit me in the middle of the night, I get woken up out of my sleep with strong urges, I literally have to flip over and begin praying for sustainment that I don't fall. When I have fallen, and sexual sin sometimes becomes habitual, my confidence in Jesus goes down, I don't feel unashamed, I more ashamed, not because of Him but because I feel like I don't deserve to represent Him, so I go into solitude. The desire to fall into drinking habits picks up again, every sin it seems just seems that more enticing because my power feels drained after a sexual fall. One of the ways that I was able to "overcome" (still struggle with sexual sin), was when I started to confess my sin. That's one of the areas that we, as Christian Men, struggle with... confessing our sins one to another. We fall into the pride of not wanting to show our weaknesses one to another. I work with guys who are drug addicts and alcoholics... I needed to confess my struggles with them and when I did so, I started to overcome, by the grace of God and the strength of the Holy Spirit and certainly NOT by my own strength. Exactly, "But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed." (James 1:14, BSB). But you don't correct the bad desires by only running away. That's only half of it. True freedom comes when you eliminate the wayward desire, that's what we ought to strive for and it is seldom, if ever, taught by Christian preachers.

@@wendyw3230 This is my opinion, but I hope it is a good one: 1) Pray and pray honestly 2) Believe God's promises. For me this also includes being on guard against feeling resentful towards God that I haven't got what I want yet. 3) Recognize the good desires behind the evil desires. Satan doesn't have his own clay to work with, he has to twist something good that God made. Sinful desire is something that causes us to sin and robs us of the good thing we're taking the sin as a substitute for. 4) Read the Bible - especially for me Gal. 5 and the psalms and proverbs have been helpful. 5) Love your neighbor- this means seeing the whole person when you see an attractive figure- not just the external but the spirit as well. Treat them as you would if you were there in person and you knew their name and their story and could look them in the eye. This will make you uncomfortable when you're tempted to treat them as a sex-object, and you either have to supress their personhood and continue or stop. 6) Meditate on the spousal language of the New Testament. "Bride of Christ" and the like. This one is a bit more difficult because it's all very mysterious and clearly it isn't exactly the same thing. But the desire we have for a human wife/husband is a mere shadow of the desire we have for the divine reality. Almost all of this is observations I got from Christopher West, who has a youtube channel called Theology of the Body Institute. It's great stuff. It's a Catholic channel, so if you're not Catholic (I'm not) you may have to filter out some of the weird Mary stuff. Best of luck to you.

The timing on this is incredible. Here's something I shared with brothers yesterday from my own battles with sexual immorality: "1 Corinthians 6:18 says that sexual immorality is sinning against our own bodies. And given that sin is deadly, here are 5 things sexual immorality kills: 1. Time: Each moment destroyed by sexual immorality can never be recovered, and I will have to give an account to God for each one. 2. Availability: Each moment stolen by sexual immorality is a moment that I am unable to pray, prepare, provide, and protect the ones I love, putting them immediately at risk. 3. Clear Conscience/Thoughts: Each moment surrendered to sexual immorality is embedded in the memory and develops beliefs and instincts that serve to perpetuate it. 4. Faithful Body: Each time my mind is consumed or body is touched by a hand that doesn't belong to my (future) spouse, they are being habituated to defraud God and my spouse their rights to my body. 5. Life in/by the Spirit: Each moment I commit sexual immorality is a moment where I deaden my soul to sanctification, sensitivity and satisfaction in/by the Holy Spirit."

The same week that God has change my life and led me To the path of righteousness , I broke off a relationship I had I no longer wanted to have sex and not being married. It’s been 5 years now I’ve never been tempted to go back to that life not once. When God cleanse me He truly did. I was married before got divorced, I will honor God before my flesh. As we call ourselves children of the living God or Christians as many people say they are , we’re on a Spiritual journey this flesh is only temporary . People can’t constantly make excuses of keep going back to the things that’s not pleasing to the Almighty Father. My prayer when I realize I can’t be doing these sexual things is for God to take those feelings away and sure enough he did and I only pray that one time and it was answered. If we truly wants to change from our entire Being God will give it to us. I am no different from anyone who seeks Him.

@@12Messenger Yeah, is another reason not to do it outside of a committed relationship for life (marriage). It makes the pain once the bond is broken even greater than it should have been. Not only because it creates these bigger attachments but also it can happen with bad relationships with sex making a bad relationship for a good one. So a bad relationship that would have been easy to break up cuz is clearly bad, becomes har cuz it feels good cuz of sex. I know a personal example of a friend whom the girlfriend got so emotionally attached to him (not to say dependant) that she barely was letting him have his own life. Everytime i met him at some point he was texting her to tell her "he was ok" and what he was doing. I got to meet her and i saw that the concern for his well being is genuine but pathologially high. He grew tired of it and broke up with her. She cried a lot called him back crying promising to change and he gave her a 2nd chance. I know they were dating for a year before if happened, and having sex. There's no way if he wasn't feeling closer to her as he would have been if not having sex, he would have taken this long to break up an unhealthy relationship for both. Honestly, as his friend i'm now rooting against this relationship cuz i know how when one of them has this dependence, is never good for any of'em

Great lesson brother! I haven’t even so much as kissed a man in 5yrs and I’m now 30yo, yet this convicted me. I used to be in sexual sin in college and realized the reason I’ve never gotten over one ex in particular might be because of the continual sexual sin we had a decade ago. And it’s always a wonderful reminder that our bodies are not our own but bought at a price. I’m so glad the Lord has freed me from my sexual sin but these videos have been great because I can’t think I’m so far removed that it can’t still happen to me, especially as I consider the idea of dating again. I pray to God that these videos will be greatly used to convict the brethren and unsaved alike, that it would edify the body and win souls to Christ. May many blessings be over your ministry and your team. God bless you, you are a precious brother in Christ!

So true, this is the worst sin to get away from and get free from. It does not help that we are literally bombarded daily everywhere we look by things that are meant to invoke thoughts we shouldn't be having from magazine covers in the grocery store to billboards to television, etc. This is one reason why after I got saved I felt convicted to stop watching television and movies totally - especially the things out there now. It absolutely helps getting all that influence on your mind out of the picture.

In this day in time people, even so called believers don't take this seriously. They see it as a "don't " and not as a "why I won't". Because of that mindset sexual immorality is taken lightly. There are more reasons why you shouldn't but people would rather be controlled by an impulsive decision that has lasting effects. There aren't very many that will speak the truth. Thank you for broken this down the way you did!!

Thanks for this message . I’m a single Christian man working on this issue for years . I’ve been to several 12 step groups , celebrate recovery and other Christian ministries addressing it and lots of time I. Therapy trying to work through this issue . I praise God for your openness and acknowledgment that Christian men struggle with this . I’m so grateful to God for any freedom I have in this area today . God is so good and I’m reminded to use His strength to fight this and not my own . He is bigger than my struggles and greater than my problems . I’m so blessed that He is in control of my life and that I can look to Him in all things and keep Him on the throne . God bless all you men who have the courage to reach out for help on this issue and admit your weaknesses . I praise God for all the help I have received from Christian men I. This area . Brother once again your message from God has touched my soul. It's crazy how your mind can get lost in the moment when that little bit of pleasure can have a lifetime of repercussions. Sharing that example of a business deal was spot on. People don't like losing money. God bless and continue to share God's word through your ministry.

Hi can you do a video on thinking about engaging in sexual acts with someone you're not with but are interested in. Wasn't sure where to send my request so I'm just commenting it here. I honestly think this is an attack now because it's gotten so bad (the desire to have sex or be intimate with someone) and it's like the thoughts are so hard to shake. Would really appreciate any tips or advice to keep my mind off of that and focus on God. I havent physically acted on anything but ik sin starts in the mind so I just wanted to know how to stop the desire or thoughts.

I don’t understand why is it a struggle if you love God then you will live a life that you know will make Him happy. And he will make your path straight. I can say that because it’s my life. And I am no different from anyone that say they truly Love God. We have to put him first. It’s like when you’re a child and your mom kiss your boo-boo and makes it feels better no more tears after that, That’s how God will make you feel better, and you won’t have to struggle in the things that you know will keep you out of the kingdom of God. Remember one day judgement will come and you don’t want to be caught not doing the right thing by then it will be to late. Repent turn away from the things that’s not pleasing to Our Savior Redeemer. Blessings

I always remind myself of Galatians 5:19-22. Go through the checklist! Sexual immorality is #1 on the list. Pray for discipline and read your Word more. New International Version 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

@@LivingMyBestAlways Phillipians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." You got to be healed immediately. Meanwhile, some of us are on our knees in tears begging God to make us completely "unfunctional" downstairs so we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. Judgement seat of Christ is for the unbelievers. When we Rapture, we will meet the Lord in the air to be with Him FOREVER. We will go to the "BEMA seat," to receive crowns and rewards for our service to the Lord. What happens in your life doesn't necessarily happen in everyone else's.
