Royale High was literally my childhood. Finally finding a game i fell in love with. It was the best thing ever. I still remember that nostalgic feeling of it. I miss the old Royale High, way back before the first Earth. Before divinia, before new campus. It was so amazing. Marvelling over someones halo, wishing you had one too. Its not even that emotional, but this piece makes me so nostalgic. Going to classes was everything. This piece mainly reminds me of the English class imo. I really really miss that part of my childhood. I'll literally never forget it. Its the best part of my childhood, and hearing that just makes me happy.

I started to play in 2017 and ended in 2020. The best 3 years of my life. Where I role played with friends and made memories.

Pls don't judge me This makes me crying, I played Royale High back then with my friends, I loved them so much, we used to play the whole day and have so much fun. Go to classes, hang out in the dorms, playing blind dates etc. I enjoyed the soundtrack so much. I vibed at almost all of them.I played this on my school computer, (now I have my own). Now they all left me, and one tries to. Most orchestra channels on youtube are just synthetic, which is fine, but you're using actual soloists and live instruments and it really makes all the difference. I wouldn't say "completely doable"; there's so much a live ensemble can do that samples don't come even close. A simple technique like loure bowing/rebowing within a phrase which is easy for musicians are replicated nowhere as good by the best samples available.

That's the beauty of orchestral music. The score and composition has the ability to evoke emotions much more clearly than any other form that has come since. With just a slight change in how the violin draws their bow an entirely different feeling is evoked. The horns coming in give it a sense of scale that the percussions help underlie and reinforce... Individually they all serve a purpose. Yet together they create an emotional experience unlike any other...

Every now and then, I come back to this song to reflect on my life. I first heard this song in Royale High and instantly knew what it from, so I looked it up and added it to my playlist. I first heard this version of Shelter when I was 12 in 6th grade. I'm currently 18 and will be graduating high school in a few months, then it's off to college. Hearing this song brings in a surge of memories, and I'm on the verge of tears thinking about how much has changed. I always wonder if that same 12 year old girl who played a role-playing game non-stop would be proud of who we became. I'm scared of this new chapter yet to come in my life, but I hope to come back once more to reflect. Until next time.

When this song got removed from the classic Royale High campus, I thought I'd never hear it again. But when I heard this song again after when it got removed, I felt very emotional. I would always think about the times when you'd always go to your locker, take out your books, socialize, attend classes, and eat breakfast and lunch with friends at Classic Royale High. I wish that they bought the music back, but they won't due to copyright issues. I'll never forget those times... +TheAnimeCritic To be fair, Black Rock Shooter started off as a simple character design concept that later became a music video and then fully expanded into a game, OVA and finally a TV series. There are other anime that started off as simple music video ideas first as well. Maybe not for Shelter but the idea of what was originally just a musical animation becoming a full fledged series or even producing a movie is not impossible

Porter Robinson whom has no prior knowledge or background of any industry involving animen or TV serializations making an anime out of shelter doesn't fall short from unthinkable. Plus Shelter foretold it's entire premise in that single six minute video so there's nothing to make out of it.

Coming back to this one because of Porter's newest song, Cheerleader. This was how I first discovered Porter's music; binging through a bunch of Seycara's orchestral covers one afternoon, this one made me decide to check out the original song. From there, I found the singles leading up to Nurture, I think it was only Get Your Wish and Something Comforting that had released at the time, and now I'm a huge fan of the Nurture album and Porter's music in general. In my sincere opinion this is BY FAR the best edit/remix Madeon and Porter Robinson are ever going to get. What a joy listening to this song... The soundtrack, the artwork...a perfect rendering of the wonders of youth, how children see the world and their limitless imagination. The flamboyant colors of the artwork and the innocent playfulness of the soundtracks....all of it is mesmerizing. Studio Ghibli and the composers made a wonderful world as seen/felt by children, while showing daily struggles, but the strong emotions and relationships make it all worthwhile.

As a child, I used to stay up late playing Royale High and making friends for literally no reason at all. I would blast the soundtrack so loudly my parents would come into my room to tell me to stop. I miss the old Royale High. The old campus as of right now isn't the same anymore. This was one of the songs part of the soundtrack (the most nostalgic in my opinion), but that soundtrack has been removed. Royale High will forever hold a special place in my heart. It won't be the same playing without any of my online friends that have haven't been online for nearly four years, but what's done is done.

Oh my God, the nostalgia I get from this. My favorite song, paired with one of my favorite types of music (Ghibli Orchestra). And to top it all off, this was the soundtrack for classic Royale High. I still play the game, but, it will never hit different as it did 2017-2019. I didn't have a Roblox account back then, but I would watch other people play it endlessly. I was obsessed with it and Meepcity, and they're the main two reasons why I got an account in Summer 2020. Summer 2020 for me is an unforgettable experience, sure there was a global pandemic, but that was also the time where I discovered new friends, new interests, and my true self. I love this song so much

the memories... i wish life were as simple as my 6 year old self playing classic royale high, playing with my 4 year old sister, drinking hot cocoa in 2017... i'm crying right now. the nostalgia is beautiful, yet it hurts so bad... every rose has it's thorns... back when if i had a panic attack, i could snuggle in my mothers arms and play royale high. royale high has turned into a "community" of instant gratifacation. i wish times were still this easy. this was my entire childhood.
