Mr B Natural is the very first thing I think about when I think of this show (quickly followed by the memory of the sadness I felt with Joel was replaced by Mike).

So you're saying he was Carl Macek before Carl Macek? That is, he introduced a whole lot of people to anime, but mangled it in the process? And even the people thankful for that introduction cursed his localization choices?

@@boobah5643 I'm going to defend both shows. Battle Of The Planets was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I used to sneak down to watch it on Saturdays, because the station aired two episodes at 6 and 6:30 in the morning, then go back to bed. That's not easy when the TV is by the wall next to my parents' bedroom at the time. As for Robotech, Macek took three unrelated shows because Macross had too few episodes for a weekday run and too many for a weekly run, created a full mythos surrounding Protoculture as an energy source, and somehow managed to make it work for those of us who hadn't seen or heard of the original animes. There was a lot of effort making that show happen and it's too bad events blocked Robotech II: The Sentinels from becoming an original work that would have smoothed over the necessary rough patches of frankensteining three shows together. I understand why Gatchaman fans hate BOTP but it's still nostalgia to me and I'll always love it (yes, even 7 Zark 7), while Robotech was more like Power Rangers as far as how it was put together, just without the original American footage.

My top picks of Season 3- Gamera vs Guillon, The Amazing Colossal Man and It Conquered the World. Yeah, that's the third season in three episodes.... and two of them can't be officially released. Take my word for it, these three really work.

How much Keefe is in this review? Miles O'Keefe! I first started watching mst3k when it premiered on SciFi (I don't think my family's cable plan included Comedy Central at the time) and I remember being very confused when I bought Pod People, Cave Dwellers, and Mitchell and saw Joel lol. I love all the eras though, they each bring something fun to the table.
