E3 starts, the iconic halo theme kicks on and we see Master Chief exploring a dark cave. Everyone thinks it’s gameplay for infinite. As it continues, we hear Cortana (I know not realistic given the events of guardians, but come on, character intros in the style of Snake and Pit but with Chief and Cortana, that’d be great!) give some explanation about weird signals and how the writing on the wall claims to be sacred ground for an ancient tournament. Chief turns the corner and sees...Kirby, wearing an elite helmet and looking excited to see Chief. He walks up and hands him the smash bros letter. I think that alone would take any game convention.

On top of that Nintendo and Microsoft are great friends to the point of allowing serious cross-play and having both of their consoles in the same ad. it's not too far-fetched to believe that Microsoft could form a contract with Nintendo to let them use the Halo IP.

Master Chief being playable isn't as crazy as people might think. If Microsoft was going to have one character in Smash, Chief has been the face of Xbox since the beginning and Halo has been compared to Metroid for years. That and there was a Halo DS game in the works at one point (IGN has gameplay footage of the game so it's not just a rumor) but the game fell through for one reason or another. If Joker, Cloud and Snake can get in, Master Chief has somewhat of a chance, although if any Microsoft property is going to get in it's most likely going to be Banjo-Kazooie. I'd prefer either of them much more than Minecraft Steve honestly. Besides, Halo music remixes.

Joker, Cloud and Snake aren't really comparable though, are they? Sony doesn't own any of them. Microsoft and Sony are direct competition to Nintendo, unlike Sega, Square and Konami. I'd still say Chief has a good chance given that MS and Nintendo seem to currently be on good terms anyway. Hell, whose to say a Banjo-Kazooie talk couldn't lead to this. Smash is like perfect advertisement at this point.

I'd like The Trials tho. Blow me away though? I doubt it. They didn't even reuse it in Halo 2 Anniversary aside from classic setting.

People better spam this at Nintendo and Microsoft. There has never been an easier time in the industry than now to make something like this happen. Only issue I could possibly see is avoiding Sakurai's whole *no guns* thing that semi ruins Snake. Anyone got any ideas for moves?

Perhaps a unique thing where Chief can change weapons and that alters his normal attacks. Standard Special: Spartan Laser and he can move while charging it. Makes his smash attacks slower, but hit harder Forward Special: Energy Sword. Doesn't do much damage, but has good knock back for mid - high % KO potential. Can auto lock to opponent at a specific distance (enabling use as a recovery move) and smash attacks change to quick slicing moves.

Grav hammer or grav lift for up special...Unless we're using current design; then it's the built in jet pack. Grav hammer or fist based smash attacks. Down Special: Grenade. Won't work like snake's. Has to bounce first to blow up, so it's thrown low. Random chance to be plasma grenade or auto plasma grenade if in the air. Can't think of good balancing for that. Smash attacks default to whatever weapon is out

My stage idea: Assault on the Control Room. Panning background or just set it in the control room itself with a hologram of the array in the background. Item idea: Bubble shield Arbiter as a clone or echo fighter. Johnson as an assist trophy.

Snake’s final smash in Brawl was the grenade launcher, and Chief is good with hand to hand combat, plus he could have an energy sword, but The Arbiter seems more fit for that.
