SFO San Francisco Opera 2024/2025 Season

I hope the next mayor sees the beauty in Civic Center and revitalize the area. I loved to attend symphony, opera house, and Asian Art museum. It is plagued with drugs and violence. I would love to come back to this beautiful area.

Opera is very expensive to produce. I can remember 12 operas per season. Sigh.

It may be sad but it’s reality. Opera is getting very expensive to produce and there is less money to go around. Opera in America is not subsidized as it is in many European cities.

People can barely make ends meet with the current inflation. Tickets in US are twice the cost of Europe and to top it all off we get audience members who clap, eat, and talk in the middle of the music.

Lamentável. Esqueceram do Sesquicentenario da gloriosa estreia da Opera Salvador Rosa de Carlos Gomes no Teatro Carlos Fenice de Gênova. Foi maior sucesso sucesso que o Guarani. A aria mais solicitada pelo registro de de baixo é esposo di padre, la joia serena. Não esquecer a mia picciarela gravação do Caruso.

@@marcoantonioseta6102 por incrível que pareça ele é mais apresentado lá fora que no Brasil. E existe um ótimo vídeo da citada Opera com a Opera de Brastilava e orquestra Internacional da Itália 🇮🇹. O problema maior aqui é o baixo nível de nossas Emissoras oficiais.
