I remember one time when Hollywood Video was still around and we went there one time to rent video games; one had the KA rating on it and I asked my mom what that meant: she told me it stood for Kick Ass! That cracked me up! Shame that people feel the need to use the rating system as not only a means of judging how mature one is, but as a scapegoat because most parents today are too ignorant to read the back of the damn box!

I was five years old when this game came out and I played the Snes version, one day when I played the Genesis version and did Scorpions Fatality with the Genesis Six Button controller by pure accident against my Dad I was wowed by it.....yet i was scared shitless by the stage fatalities of MK2 back then, and yes my parents let me play M Rated games back then one once they played it and two I knew the difference between fiction and reality back then

Mortal Kombat on the Sega Master System was one of the first fighting games I played with my sisters and my dad. It's been years since I last seen this game and played it, unfortunately the old Sega System doesn't work anymore. I miss playing my Blaster Master 2 :(

I heard that this Kollection has sound issues in terms of music that weren't in the original arcade releases. Apparently, its most heard in MK2. But you are right, its incredibly minor as I NEVER hear any sound issues. This is a fantastic Kollection to own if you haven't already.

MK1 is on Shang Tsung's island in Earthrealm, yeah. I remember the SNES version of this game was garbage, not just because of the lack of blood, but the controls were so stiff and bad. Great stuff guys, can't wait for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

Also this is killing me... you do realize that if you hit START (or whatever key you use) to bring up the menu ... you can see every characters Special Move,Finishing Move, and in the case of MK3 all of their button specific Kombos! its a great feature that I can't believe you didn't know about while recording this :-)
