I saw her hand and the first thing I thought was Dumbledoor curse, lol. First they do not call and secondly, they just walk in. I am glad that they talked about Alec's depression and suicide attempt. Magnus needs to tell Alec what he told Simon. I just hope the writers do not use his depression strangely in future episodes.

If they had more time, I wonder if Alec would've picked up on Magnus' 'I have been through it myself' line. While Alec sometimes struggles with... processing things, I doubt he'd GO THERE without a spell messing with his head. Magnus, however, has almost GONE THERE at least once and has admitted that he still struggles sometimes. It's something Alec should know, so he'd be able help in case of things ever getting THAT BAD. :( LOVE Magnus' smile! He should hear Alec saying how important he is more. :,)

So usually a line like “Just promise me you’ll tell me if things ever get that bad” is a foreshadow for future episodes, however, it never happened this season. Now that doesn’t mean of course that they can’t bring up this storyline again. Matthew said that sometimes it’s difficult for Alec to handle everything so maybe we will revisit this issue. Not necessarily with Clary’s mom but something else will happen that will trigger that as well. It is just so heartbreaking for Magnus to see Alec try to kill himself. So now he knows that it is possible for Alec to get to that point the where he would consider killing himself.

I feel like they didn't adress this enough, like I know Alec said he was completely find but considering that magnus' mother took her own life, they never really showed how this may have brought back a lot for him. Magnus knows that he would have to put alec first in that situation because he's the one who hit that rock bottom and needed help, but they never really went of with that plot from there. Which I was slightly disappointed vabout since its a very serious topic and can trigger PTSD.
