The entire album is absolute fire. James put so much emotions into some of the tracks you can actually feel it.

Almost 60 years old. They play like young boys. Fantastic

Shadows follow is the absolutely favorite song from this album. And it’s a absolute banger song! 72 seasons and shadows follow are the best songs in my opinion. Hope they gonna play shadows follow live. 🤘🤘🤘

Going to see them in Dallas in August. Praying they play shadows follow or chasing light!

I saw them perform Shadows Follow last Friday and Too Far Gone/You Must Burn on Sunday. All were killer along with Lux Æterna, 72 Seasons, and If Darkness Had a Son. I just wish they played Room of Mirrors

Very Death Magnetic sounding to me. I absolutely love it!

Definitely recognizable as a Metallica song- they have an iconic sound for certain. What impressed me is how they make just enough changes to stay relevant but they are still unique and organic to themselves and their sound.

My absolute favorite on the album, and tied with Bone for my favorite song they've done since The Black Album. In fact, it's like a lost TBA Thrasher, like Holier or Struggle, but darker. I think this song is pretty much what DM wanted to be, but didn't quite reach imo: the lost bridge between Justice and TBA.

Awesome take! I am a huge DM fan (check the wall behind me in the video)! This had similarities to DM but it was sonically 500 times better. Great song!

@@ctcovers Oh I definitely love DM as well, minus the production issues. I just feel like it missed the mark a little bit on their stated mission, but was great nonetheless. That being said, Hardwired was *my* Metallica album. Time will tell how 72 stacks up to it, but atm I'd say theyre pretty comparable. HW has more and generally higher highs, but 72 doesn't go as low as a few parts of HW do.

Completely agree. Absolute banger and for me the best song on the album.

I love the line "I say NO! Still my shadows follow". Reinforces the "rape" of temptation and ill intent.

Thank you so much for the comment! I will be sure to get the rest of the reactions up ASAP. Had the flu the last few days and haven't been able to edit or post, unfortunately.

Well, at least you got the reactions done before getting sick. Then you could listen and enjoy freely without worry of missing the reaction. Hope your helth continues to improve.

72 is a grower. I hated it so much the first 4 times i listened to it that it made me angry. After about my 6th listen it began to grow on me. Now, I can't put it down. Absolutely awesome album!!!!

Best album since AJFA and I don't care what anyone says.
@dekapitatorr Жыл бұрын
I love DM more because it have more AJFA style songwriting and better sounding guitars BUT, holy shit this is 12 track album WITHOUT any track to skip. sleepwalk is the weakest for me but its not dud at all. I guess you are right. best one since justice. flows better than DM and destroys Hardwired easily. you can hear it is a project by 4 dudes instead of 2.
@ctcovers Жыл бұрын
Great album for sure. I have had more time to listen to Hardwired and DM, so I am not sure I can put it above those albums just yet. But man alive, is it a BANGER!!!!
