Great video! They way i have been playing it at 8:48 is that relocate is not considered a move action per the rules. So you don't have to draw an encounter card when you go to a land with no existing encounter. Its like a Free Teleport with no consequences! Relocate: Simply pick up the hero standee and place it on a location allowed by the ability. It doesn’t cost AP and is not considered a move.

I really like to see your playthroughs. It's so much joy and I really want to play this game again. Maybe even try with two players in versus mode. One rules catch I have, you can't clear plots before you cleared all obstacles. And even with three obstacles you were able to start the fight against the ancient, because this is a deed assault you can do. But it's understandable you like to clear all plots fist.

Great playthrough! I got the game yesterday and this was really helpful in understanding how it works. We're going to test it next week with some friends and I'll force them to watch this beforehand so I don't have to do all the work. By the way, do you really get the Fight boost from the Oni each battle round (OP!)? The Diabolist card says that you get it for a "fight test", which I understood to be a single roll.

Hey Colin, earlier this year I bought gloom of kilforth after watching your playthrough. I have played the Game 4 times by now and so far really love it. BUT as far as I have experienced it, it is way too easy to win. I do like to have a little challenge at least in my games. Not every game has to be as unforgiving like Robinson Crusoe or lord of the rings lcg. But what would be your suggestion on making the game harder? Leaving out night cards at the start? If so, how many? Do you have other ideas? Thanks for showing shadows of kilforth btw! As always great to follow your plays! Best, Flo

What Shadows did was make you discard a certain number of Night cards, and that really puts pressure on you from a timing perspective. Just make sure that when you do that, to switch those locations into gloom as well. Other than that I am not sure how else you could make the game harder but still provide the same feel you know? Thanks for watching and commenting Flo! Oh and as for how many start with the 2 they say in this one, but you can always increase it if need be!

Hall or Nothing Productions Yesterday I played another session. This time with 2 random locations falling into gloom by flipping over 2 night cards right at the start. I was a bit unlucky with my rolls and was wounded a lot of the times which limited my actions per round. Because of that I just finished my saga finale with only 3 night cards left. I then used 2 turns to go to the town and getting some items via the market to prepare for the fight. In my last turn I was fighting the deacon of betrayal and won just by the skin of my teeth! Played as a night elven fighting mage. Was a blast and huge tension in the end!

the card stated "discard a place in play" could you have discarded one of the ancient cards? i thought one said "place" on it. You also said when you use an asset for completing the saga you can discard it for full value. Persay can you use the keywords in any order, such as lets say you had 5 gold but need 8 to do the saga you could discard it and get the 3 gold to bring you to 8 for the saga or do you need everything upfront first?

If the card matches the type you probably can I don't see why not! I should have. . ha! You have to have the money to pay before you sell assets. So you need to have everything together prior to regaling.

No that is each game round. That is only important if playing with others where you might not finish him off, someone else could take him on and he would still have the damage on him from my final attack. Good question!
