Of all the KSP players on KZbin, you have the coolest designs. Others might be more practical, but you consistently hit the sweet spot between form and function. You pack all that equipment in and on a craft and still make it come out looking cool instead of an ugly flying scaffold. Makes for a better viewing experience if we have something cool to admire. Two thumbs up, dude.

This is incredible! I was about to say "overrengineered" (with to 'r') but it looks like you managed to fit a self-contained civilization into this beautiful craft, so a lot of engineering is OK I guess :D (no such thing as too many docking ports!) I was totally nerd-sniped. Thanks!!

I built my first space station today. It has 4 major parts made from docking separate cores to a base. It even has a giant fuel tank reserve for ships that will need it. I was very proud. Now I’m sad.

Please don't be. You should definitely be proud! KSP is not an easy game. Every milestone should be celebrated.

Can you help me to land on Eve? I've been trying to send a decent sized probe there but the atmosphere destroys it as soon as I touch it. I can only slow down to about 2500m/s before hitting the atmosphere, then the heat shield blows up like it isn't even there and my entire craft is gone almost instantly.
@ShadowZone6 жыл бұрын
It all depends on your entry angle and how high your apoapsis is. Higher apoapsis = higher atomspheric entry velocity = higher risk. I might do a "how to survive Eve" tutorial.

I love colonization videos, and generally doing stuff with multiple vehicles instead of one lonely mission. The ring station reminds me artificial gravity doesn't have to be complex. The whole station could turn to provide the artificial gravity. No rotors or anything. But now I see my notes say it's simpler to spin up rotor-based stations; they'll always reach the right RPM. Then again, a KAL controller making a timed burn with rotational thrusters could also set the RPM quite nicely.

Few days I projected a ship with some features like that one. 2 atmospheric ships that work as main propulsion of the main mission, one probe to ore on light moons of Jool, 2 landers, one for tylo and other to the rest of moons and a ship to travel with payloads (Like Mark Thrimm's ship on Duna colony). Is about 650 parts and 400t I guess.

Solution to your jet docking problem. Get one of those Rockomax HubMax Multi-Point Connector and put docking ports on it. Then dock it to one the central docking ports. Then you can dock the jet to that

I made a HUGE ship(about of the size of the exodus),and it is capable of interstellar travel.not kidding.INTERSTELLAR TRAVEL(mods!).i called it "KSS Kerbin".(KSS means "Kerbal Space Ship"-like USS and RMS-and i thought it would be cool to name it after a planet,like the US Navy names it's ships after American states,the British Navy does the same,and there it goes.)my idea was to make a great interstellar journey,but I failed to download a planet pack.it's a long story.so,I improvised.i turned Jool into a star with HyperEdit(a ridiculously small star,that doesn't glow,it's absurdely cold,in a stellar scale,and orbits another star.)by increasing it's gravity,putting Eve and Duna to orbit it,and moving it lightyears away,by messing with it's orbit.i even tried to put Jool to orbit itself,but the game crashed when I done so.so...that's it!I made a huge colony ship(it has three hangars,with one lander-base-SSTO rocket hybrid inside each.),traveled from one solar system to another "solar" system,landed on Jool's moons,Eve and Duna,and came back to Kerbin.that's it.i'm done.
