More awesome content Lucky. We had a guy in Dallas who had a “lot” on Central Expressway. It was a “Exchange” where you can bring your car, your paperwork INCLUDING the title. Took the cats to auction, had dined titles and skipped town. IDK if they ever found that guy. It sounds like this falls under A.C.E. Avoid Costly Entanglements.

do you think it can be done right? for us in the military our cars end-up just sitting while we're on deployment. thus i'm interested in making a business of renting out our cars while on deployment. it sounds like the only issue you brought up is liability. so if i had the business set-up that assumes the liability (not me personally) and the business is insured, do you think it could be worth it?

it all depends if you want to do turo while your gone of if you can trust someone to do it for you

I agree you would just need to navigate the liability and be fully transparent with the client. Also i would only go after cars that are paid off or close to paid off to maximize profit potential. There is risk in everything. If set up right i think its well worth it.

Get someone to help while your deployed. Check in talking to them when you can. Have a smart phone. You should do fine.

We are actively in a dispute with Turo right now because our host scamming us. So initially we get our rental car from the person and everything is normal all is well we take pictures etc.. we notice almost immediately less than 30 mins on the road that there's a small little crack on the bottom right corner of the windshield, so me and my lady go to the app to check the persons photos to make sure the damage wasn't already because we just noticed it. but bam there it is! by checking his pictures because we obviously aren't gonna take the blame for this issue if it wasn't our own fault. So we find a few pictures of the exact same damage and think to ourselves we are good to go because he already uploaded and knows about this damage. Right ? Everything is golden and if he says anything i'll just pull up his pictures and save myself a headache because everything is good and business is business.. Long story short right before we deliver the car again we triple checked to make sure again just because that is how we are(me and my lady). We should have a smooth delivery don't have any explaining to do just pull up the pics and to show him his own pictures to cover our backs if anything because we knew we didn't take an exact picture of that damage.. but it turns out he isn't there it's his wife and everything is all good and dandy when we deliver the car we thought. wrong the next morning he messages us saying we cracked his windshield and all the sudden the pictures we had both seen me and my lady no longer there on the app! He calls us liars and all loads of bs he's saying it was us and we tell him wassup because we know he is trying to scam us obviously but we never imagined it happen like this and worst of all we didn't see it coming so we never took screenshots of the uploads when he actually had them up smh. Gonna fight this to the end though not gonna get a dime from us hell nah. If anyone has some similar situation or advice appreciate it thanks
