A little trivia: Some of the valkyrie cards are named after german numbers, particular "zweite, dritte, vierte and sechste" mean "second, third, fourth and sixth". Sigrun and Brunhild are both valkyries from norse mythology and figures in Wagners "Nibelungenlied". Wagner is also the composer of "Ride of the Valkyries" or "Ritt der Walküren".

Does anyone know or have tried to use element valkyrie with this theme? It is a valkyria,and duel links/konami corp didnt carefully "code it right" I should be able to also use it. They changed Marie the fallen into a dark lord,so it could be played with the dark lord cards,maybe they miss this card also. Just a thought I had in my mind..

Gotta admit, Pokemon is the content I subscribed for, but Duel Links is a perfect balance. It keeps me from burning out on Pokemon and allows me to just enjoy the Shady experience with the content you put out. Watching you strategize so much makes me wish you'd put out a Final Fantasy run sometime; not sure it's your thing, but I gotta admit I'd love to see your playstyle.

1:23 - You're on the right track there with Brunhilde. If a card gives a non-freezing temporary boost to DEF, Brunhilde's DEF will reset. What I mean is, if a card does not boost the DEF "during damage calculation only" (like Spikeshield with Chain), or "halve its current ATK/DEF" (permanently, like Gale the Whirlwind), then most likely it will reset the DEF to 2000 at the end of the turn. A card like Paleozoic Hallucigenia could work for that because it "halves the current ATK/DEF" temporarily, and a card like Micro Ray that makes the DEF "become" a certain value temporarily should also work.

Whenever I go into a box I usually make sure that there is a specific card that I am going after to help a current deck that I am using and any other smaller archetypes I pick up usually are a sweet bonus to build. The only time I ever went into a box to get cards for a deck I hadn't started yet was with lords of shining to get the white stone of the ancients and I picked up a darklords deck before Valhalla calling which was when they got oppressive levels of good.

Hey shady not sure if anyone told you but.you can check graveyards and extra decks and stuff during your opponents turn now. Also there is an old fairy support card (celestial transformation) that can special summon fairies from the hand. That might help.

Lol best advise to new players getting notifications to buy from the new box: get karma cut if you want and get the fuck out of there and wait for xyz meta to start. xyz are gonna shake up a lot of play and the next generation of boxes will most likely be meta defining so just saving up gems to see where things are headed is probably your best bet. but if you do want to buy from a box either buy from Dark dimensions to get some good cards like Invoker which is very splash-able and will probably stick around for a while but it will take a while to make a full deck or even a full core of those decks usually three copies of anything the only good general tech card is necrovalley. you could probably make a good deck out of gravekeepers with only one run through the box come to think of it. The next good box to buy from is judgement force which will give you lightswarns which is a good general engine for any archetype that wants cards in the graveyard but Id say the main draw to the deck would be lunalights which is probably the best free to play deck at the moment. You also get Orcust which has a lot of potential but with their current set they need some support from Desperado structure pack to get to KOG. Finally you could always go into soul of resurrection for a shiranui deck, this is probably the most cost effective to start on a top tier deck but to push it that extra mile towards one of the best decks in the game you will need to spend some gems in other boxes to get general tech cards that are pretty important in the current meta. sidenote another good deck to get started with I think would be Blazing rose. It was the one I started with and gives you two good F2P decks that are very up-gradable, those being Subterrors and Metaphys. It also gives you the black rose dragon which is very good and is a good general tech card run in any deck that can make a lv 7 syncro because it lets you break strong boards. Idk if anyone needs this but i figured Id write this to any players getting into the game who are afraid of wasting their gems on sub-par decks like the one in this video. It just felt relevant enough and I wish i knew not all boxes were created equal previously even though I happened to come into a good one

??? There is no single date confident yet Konami but in their recent announcement about updating lava golem’s card text they mentioned that they will be releasing plenty of cards that will deal burn damage which will also be lowered from their tcg counterparts. It is assumed these are xyz cards. The date everyone is looking at is 9/29/2020. People also assume September because it is also the time new worlds are usually added. Last year it was DSOD and the lease of dark dimension which is a box that has already gone to define the meta. So holding out a few weeks of just grinding with what you have may potentially give you a shot of getting ahead of the curve. TLDR; September 29th there’s gonna be a bunch of new good cards

@@sarthakarora3212 I think that xyz's will be pretty good. Konami doesn't have to think about ways to use this mechanic they just need to import cards from the tcg to fit the meta. If you think konami is stupid enough to have their first box with xyz's be a flop that's not worth buying, destroying any hype around the biggest new mechanic since syncros, then be my guest and blow your load all over making a Valkyrie deck. the truth is that Konami has all the insentive to make this good from the perspective of getting new players, hyping up new players, and even getting some people to spend some money. besides, saving is always the better thing to do. old boxes aren't going anywhere. I mean hell if you really wanted to you could still go hunting for a sphere kuriboh the first box is still available. saving is just usually better to see how the meta adapts especially if you are in between built decks. this also applies for dream tickets so long as you don't forget to use it.
