Man 2 40 minute video's in the same spot on consecutive days. That's a honey hole. Funny thing is you found it fishing for carpet and instead you found cats, the right size drum, suckers and shad you have been seeking for bait. And it's all right in the same spot. Loved the long video Justin. Action packed the whole way and a Beautiful Flat head . Awesome colors on that one. You were cracking me first they were just stupid anchor poles then they turned into piss poor anchor poles.... awww lmao!! Finally got a short vacation Memorial Day weekend caught some blues and channels on jugs with live blue Gill and one we Cleaned had a 9” shad in his mouth too... probably wasn’t 4-5 lb fish but they can eat! Dude your awesome . I'm sure I have said this before but man I would be lying if I said you didnt play a big apart in my evolution of fishing . when I saw you catch a big ol flathead . I knew that's the fish I wanted . an I pursued one for many long hours an months until I got so lucky to catch my first one at 25lbs ! In broad daylight about 7 feet from the bank in about 2 and a half feet of water ! on a 3 way rig ! Man my angles an set up were all over the place back then lol

Good idea with the insert on the weights. I keep my sinkers together in a Plano and the ends get beat shut from them hitting each other in the Plano to the point I can't get my braid through.

You might want to look at "brush grips" perhaps 2 , and enough line to "y" them off your stern. Then even if you dont get really good anchors from your sticks, you have a fairly good backup

I've done a T shape anchoring with 3 small folding anchors that works well for shallows. One perpendicular to left and right tied up around the seat back or rear holders about 10-30' out and one straight back so I don't get yanked out too far.

As to your anchor problem. Have you considered a spring loaded clamp? Just clamp into that vegetation by clipping to a small bush/tree.

Hey bud love ur vids, been watching ya fer a couple years now. But I don't know if u have tried Bush Grabbers yet ? To hold close to the edge in the shallows. There basically pliers u tie 4-6 ft of rope to and lock em on limbs or little bushes on the edge of the bank or overhanging the water. Not sure where I'd get them at but I used to use em to anchor my John boat. They will b the bees knees for ya. Good luck, tight lines and keep the kick ass vids coming. 👍👍

Anchor issue? Get two Manuel downrigger a and use the heavy ball weight as the anchor. Do this with my canoe

You need to catch some early season monsters in a foot or two of watter. Watch some fifty + fish porpise completely out of the water as soon as they feel the point of the hook!! We wouldn't be able to beat you out of a shallow cove with a stick! lol Take care!
