Brownlee, keep saying that’s enough to David, how about saying that to the hecklers who can’t shut up when a minister is speaking. Shut them up when someone is talking, do your job, you are telling the wrong people that’s enough.

I ain't a supporter of seymour or the other and I'm maori. Just listen but you're right. Probably because I've had that same treatment from woman too.😂. You can't say shit without being torched continiously.😂.

What? I can't be the only 1 where people from overseas has their own businesses, church shrines and everything. There was hardly any discrimination or unequalty before these new enforced rules unless it's to take maraes off of lands.

Everyone is entitled to equal rights! Anything else is an attack on the non maori population! Maori owning the seabed and forshore of this country is a complete break of the waitangi agreement to advantage one race which is therefore racist!

Seymour makes some excellent points ... reference to to principles in legislation without clarity at a constitutional level is is a recipe for all sorts of mischief. The Treaty of Waitangi Act was intended to form a Tribunal empowered to bind the government to land claim settlements. This was never an ongoing constitutional review; this was to effect Deeds of Settlement whereby both parties (Iwi and Government) agree it will be a final and comprehensive settlement of all the historical Treaty of Waitangi claims. Talk about bad faith, Willie Jackson was exercised to the point of inciting violence shortly after Act announced its intention to progress the Bill. Willie probably takes comfort in the ambiguous nature of the current state of Treaty Principles so as to justify whatever incoherent position he wishes to take on any matter (I thought he was Alliance, now he is Labour, again). Willie is not a person for whom probity, logic and good governance are respected. I listened to a Vic University Law lecturer on RNZ who clearly could not separate Constitutional and Common-Law Torts. If this is the state of the academics, the state of the judiciary is probably much worse (especially when it comes to recent appointees of the Waitangi Tribunal - who seem to be confused by basic issues of jurisdiction). This Bill is valuable and necessary. I hope National put aside their spinelessness on this issue and do the right thing. Winston's view is that the Treaty Pinciples Bill is unnecessary ... because there are NO principles in the Treaty of Waitangi. The choice is to either remove references to Treaty Principles in ALL legislation or define EXACTLY what these principles are. National's position is the cowards way out.

The sooner everyone is treated as New Zealanders the better the country will be. That includes paying tax if you are a Maori business or a religious organisation.

I see the very left leaning Chris Trotter is in favour of a discussion on the treaty , interesting , we definately need this discussion , what is Jackson , Tamihere , Morgan etc afraid of ? 🤔
