They done actual tests on the gloves. The mma gloves only gave 4lbs of pressure, than boxing gloves. They're almost identical, but Shane is right, the gloves are made to protect the hands.

This fight is like if the fastest man in the NFL was racing a 100m sprinter in a race. The football player has to work on his agility, strength, catching, and other skills within his sport. The sprinter just sprints. He doesn't have to work on anything else other than how to run fast in a straight line. Unless the sprinter stumbles, he's going to win in a 100m race every time.

Mike Tank Brown ll bc it's called being blind. Everyone just assumes Conor has no chance but doesn't pay attention to anything. How old is Floyd? When did he fight last? Who has more power? Who's been training longer? Oh wait even better now, 8 Oz gloves and Floyd's fragile hands that after every practice need to be put in ice then massaged. So now there's a chance he breaks his hand. No one is saying Conor will win on points, no one is saying he will out box Floyd. Conor can only win by KO within the first 4 unless something happens to Floyd in order for Conor to cruise thru on points, ie a hand breaking. But Conor and most mma fighters bring something different to the boxing world that boxers aren't used to. Tj dillashaw who's not even close to the striker Conor is gave lomanchenko issues in sparring for the first few rounds because of the awkward style that mma brings to boxing. Lomanchenko is now bringing tj back for most camps bc he thinks it helps. You have to be brain dead if you think Conor is gonna go in and box traditionally and thinks he's gonna beat Floyd. No he's gonna bring footwork and awkward stances in and try to confuse Floyd. Look at it this way. Conor has 1 chance per look to hit Floyd clean before Floyd downloads and processes what happens and makes adjustments. So the real question is how many tricks does Conor have 5 or more. So look at it like a fun fight. Conor has 5 shots, he has to make them all count but it just takes one clean one to land and it's over. It's a combat sport, one shot can end anything especially against someone who has ring rust and is 40

I don't pretend to be an expert or anything, but hasn't anyone else noticed that you can put a lot more power in a punch on a heavy bag with gloves than without them? it's pretty clear that they're designed to protect hands and if anything, the softer they are the harder you'll hit, so the more knockout possibility there is since knockouts are from concussion not from pain

100% agree with Mosley, Floyd is gonna win and he is gonna win easily, but I disagree in that this is the same as the James Toney vs Randy Couture fight. Toney was completely out of his element, Connor at least has some boxing training, it's not professional but he does have some experience, unlike Toney who had no idea on what to do on the ground, Toney wasn't trying to wrestle with Randy, Randy took him down and just controlled the ground game and didn't let Toney get up that's what happened in that fight. I know Floyd will win, but Connor has a better chance than Toney ever did against Randy.

Conor has impressive striking power, and is a great champion both verbally, and technically. The thing to keep in mind, is hey wins his fights with a serious of skills that are not allowed in boxing. This really does create a huge problem for him!! Does he have a chance? i think he most certainly does. If he is able to catch a hard enough hit on the peanut head, he just might get him down. But if may weather is as good as hes been, it could be interesting. conor does get tired.

Agreed. Mayweather is a superb defensive artist. But McGregor is an offensive force (Literally). Personality aside, this may be a trend.
