What we need to stop doing is giving credit to Getsy for the running game. If the QB is the leading rusher because of scrambling, it's not the coach. QB got most of his yards from scrambling and not designed runs. Tell me I'm lying

When you are OC for a Pete Carroll (Which I don't see him getting credit for being Belechick TE coach) But Carrol has a style that he's run 20-30years. So he has to blend what he wants to call w/what Carrol has run for years. Big Slow OL. We use speed/2nd level guys. His pass scheme is Elite and will fit very well in Chicago. 💯 But now we are gonna see him make his own O, from what he learned w/NE and Gronk to what he learned w/Carrol. It's not gonna be the same plays as Seattle.

What did Shane (or others) specifically help fix with Geno?? Nobody has said yet. Hoping to hear "timing, footwork, quick passing". I have heard they reduced his time to throw to get below 3secs, but how? Bears seem to NEVER run those easy 1st down quick slants that GB always kills with. 🤞🤞

They ran slants a ton - just didn't throw them. Look at the slant numbers before Fields injury. Because fields only threw it 4x took it out the playbook when he came back. Why run a route he isn't comfortable throwing.

Imagine the passing game dominating with 3 #1 WRs and one of the best centers in the draft. And if it still don't work out, we have 2 1st round draft picks in 2025. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

@@KamKing19 truth is, if you don't have a good Oline or qb, I don't care who ur offensive coordinator is, offense isn't gonna be that good. If the bears get one more stud Dlineman, another stud WR, a center, and get qb right, I think they can win the north. Lions will regress when Ben Johnson leaves(they didn't start scoring till he took over the offense), vikings are a big ? right now, and the Packers are still a really young team that don't have any players that really scare me. Love is like Goff, get pressure on him and he's not good. Bears need to get at least one more stud on their Dline. If I was Poles, I'm signing Chase Young or Chris Jones or drafting a stud at 9.

No one from a 9-8 team is gonna be hyped about their OC. A lot more focus on where players failed on a play call that should have worked, where can they improve on run blocking, what could they be with our personal. All way more beneficial. The idea of coaching trees have to come from the 1 team doesnt always work. You can be a great teacher on an average team. i can guarantee 31 teams lose next year, but that doesnt mean 31 bad coaches out there.

For clarification. Personally I am not asking for a pocket passer. I love fast running QB's like Lamar. Fields has speed, but he's not Lamar. Lamar can get the ball out in the pocket quickly. 3 seasons and Fields still has issues seeing the spread' Sure I watched the tall' NC QB Dray Mayo' :) but he stayed in the pocket, git the ball out, but I saw what happened to him in the pocket, he's so tall he got rolled up on his shins and ankles multiple times, he couldn't escape. Caleb is shorter stockier legs, and he seemed to get away out pocket without defense rolling into his lower legs. That is my observation. But I see Caleb is just more creative... sure the Shock of the NFL speed Caleb will need the first season to win or lose...but he has to feel that NFL speed to adjust. P. Manning said when he got in the league NO ONE WAS OPEN- THAT IS HOW MUCH FASTER THE NFL dudes are to college.

Fields has the bad double whammy of being slow, maybe very slow, at reading the field and he has a slow release. Also, I'm guessing a bit here in that he is poor at seeing what the field will be in one second if a receiver will be open or going into double coverage. I'd love to see Fields be the QB, but his QB stats are low mid tier and lowest tier.

With Fields. I'm like this is the fastest QB the Bears ever had. And your telling me the Bears offense still has trouble just getting 1st downs??? Keeping the opposing defense on the field and wearing them down with Bears RB's and Fields run plays. Nope. 3 seasons of Fields running for lis life - instead of first downs - he goes for more yards, then fumbles- trying to do too much. Or he shot gun- 6 bounce step backwards- holds ball too long- launch down field. Pray WR catches bomb. OR THE SILLY PREDICTABLE- RB on left, hike, pass to RB on left- NO yards. Jammed. Same play 9x in a game. I couldn't believe that Packers game. Fail. Fields strength is speed, and still no slick offensive block scheme slant' plays to just run and get first downs. (Yes like 49ers McCaffrey killer slant' burst through line runs) With that kind of speed- Bears are not supposed to be kicking away on 3rd downs. Frustrating.
