I am really looking forward to exploring this new expansion, I am new to Zwift (3 weeks) but still welcome new roads. Shane, great job sharing and Zwift crew for creating this! Winters here on the windward side of Lake Erie in Buffalo can keep us off the roads many days. With Zwift....problem solved! Thanks for this great video. Good on ya mate!!!

Great seeing a Lama on the new route. Very pleasant surprise. And for my money, you can never have too much gravel, although I wouldn't mind if they toned down the dust effect a bit. Will obscure the view in a large group. I love the new graphics though. The environment was great. Made me want to pitch a tent and hike around the ruins and ride the gravel roads for a few weeks.

Sitting at Level 7.5, I was a little disappointed. I've now booked a vacation day off work for next week and plan to have an epic ride to nudge me up to level 10. I guess that's what Zwift wanted me to do :)

Thanks for the video! Awesome commentary. As a very low Cat D rider I was exhausted by the time I made it to the entrance past the bridge which kind of ruined the experience. It would be nice if any races/rides would start at the entrance past the bridge. I made the loop in 19 minutes though. Way too much road dust. Also wish there was a sprint section. Thanks again!

Great First Look Shane! If i'm inside this weekend will try it out...My Neo sings on the gravel too, I assumed it was normal, I was hoping I wouldn't have to return this like I did the Flux.

I think it's great and the most interesting ride on Zwift so far. I rode around the loop 4 times and it seems to encourage you to ride it hard and fast so it should be great for racing. Now we just need a whole lot more which it looks like they're working on. Yeah I can see Neo owners turning off the road feel.

So question for you Shane regarding all of those unpaved roads. Sure with the Neo you can feel them...I'm sure that's neat and all but I have a KICKR. Knowing that when riding real gravel and cobbles and planks there's more resistance than proper tarmac, does Zwift increase the road resistance slightly over those surfaces? Or is it only the feel for Neo owners?
@gplama7 жыл бұрын
I don't believe there is anything more/less applied to the Kickr resistance. It's just a little shimmy shimmy on the Neo. :)
@LouDon-ih4sf7 жыл бұрын
Nice scenery and love the background noise. A bit less dust would be better as group rides will ruin the visual effects. But great road to ride on the trainer 9/10.

The new roads did not show up on my ZML. I had version 2.1.2(310). The latest version is 2.1.3. I could see the little white dots running across the fields. :-) People who have the same problem should try updating their ZML version. I made Zwift aware and posted it on the Community Board.

Shane, in your opinion does Zwift warrant a 4K monitor or is a 1080P HD or 720P acceptable? Thanks!
@gplama7 жыл бұрын
1080 (FullHD) is more than fine. If you've got a beastly PC/Mac that'll run Zwift in Ultra, then 4K would be a nice option. Not essential though.
@surfinDelMar7 жыл бұрын
How is your computer transmitting Zwift to the monitor...cable or wireless somehow? Also, any particular ANT+ dongle you recommend? I have a Stages PM and will be running an Apple MacBook Air. Putting the final pieces of my pain cave together. Thanks.

Group rides on the new course is going to be annoying with all the dust from the dirt road.
@gplama7 жыл бұрын
Release notes say they've reduced the amounts of dust kicked up.
@mpk27077 жыл бұрын
That's good. Every time you hit the dirt roads you never really know where you end up in the bunch, coming out again. What I'm saying is that I hate the dirt roads because Zwift has, up until now, over done the dust effect. Looking fwd to trying the new loop.

I don't really care for more new roads. I'd like them spend more time on structured training plans at consistent times every day. The Group Workouts are the best feature on Zwift. Currently the group workouts are helter-skelter in their timing and content. It is rare that you can find what you want to do, when you want to do it. Maybe they should allow private Group Workouts (i.e., team members who want to train together) on the lightly used Richmond course.
@gplama7 жыл бұрын
I had a hunch Group Workouts would be a tough ask to get people hooked into. Training plans can be very specific. As are schedules.

@BBQPeanut7 жыл бұрын
Hit by 4 cars while cycling and a bus while walking this summer. Was Zwifting almost 3 days after I first broke my shoulder, and then a few months later got hit again and broke my elbow and hip was displaced.. one of my bikes was destroyed, my carbon bike seems fine but I'm not sure if it's actually safe given that no one ever sells or buys crashed carbon frames. Hopefully I'll be ready to go next season though! I managed to practice riding with one hand a lot before the second major accident so that was fun.
