More good conversation has come out of Drew making the mistake than ever would have happened if he had just come out initially and understood. I think what Shannon was saying is that the black community was so hurt because they felt betrayed by someone that they loved and who they thought loved them. I think he does love the people in that community but needed to learn more. I think that education, learning and changing minds is what we're going for here, right. So when a man makes a mistake and wants to learn more, let him change, you'd want the same for you if you make a mistake.

Ms . Schuyler, you are absolutely right. But honestly, I sincerily feel that Brees need not be questioned for his choice of words neither for how he routed his view and opinion. To me, though I am black, and though I am impacted by George Floyd's unjust treatment which led to his unfortunate passing, I feel that he spoke from an angle that should respected because that's predominantly a dynamic or angle that he's naturally familiar with. That's why he mentioned his grandfathers as a reference as to why he stands for the flag because despite all that's going on, "his loyalty" to the flag is based on a nature and foundation of honor that he's grown to naturally understand, justly embrace and faithfully live up to. He even mentioned in his original statement "of which many felt So'OO violated by", that "not only are we as a country far from being perfect" but he also stated that "there is much that goes on in our country that shouldn't" automatically referring to the unjust event at hand. I understand how it comes off as insensitive to Mr. Floyd's case but it's really not. And because of the great person that Brees is and considering the various delicate dynamics which surrounds this matter and recent ones as well as the "what was suppose to be peaceful protests" which totally disrespects Mr. Floyd's death, is why he chose his words accordingly. Brees will always have my unbiased honor and support.
