The best explanation I've found on Ba Duan Jin and I've been looking for a very long time. Thank you! 🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 🧘♂️ Ba Duan Jin is a form of Qigong for health regulation, involving specific movements. 01:14 🌟 The "Two Hands Hold Up the Heavens" movement decompresses the spine, stimulates acupuncture points, and increases energy levels. 03:40 🌿 The "Separate Heaven and Earth" movement reduces fatigue, stretches the abdomen and ribs, and benefits digestion. 04:50 👀 The "Wise Owl Gazes Backwards" movement improves eye fatigue, relieves chest tightness, and helps with sleep problems caused by stress. 06:37 💆♂️ The "Sway the Head and Shake the Tail" movement stretches the neck and back, improving anxiety, irritability, and mood. 08:07 🌞 The "Two Hands Hold the Feet" movement massages the meridian, relieves shoulder tension, and improves posture. 09:45 👊 The "Clench the Fists and Glare Fiercely" movement unblocks liver Chi, promotes circulation, and strengthens the immune system. 11:12 🦶 The "Bouncing on the Toes" movement relaxes and settles the body, completing the Qigong set. Excellent demonstration! Thanks for sharing! How many times do we have to repeat each movement? Amituofo 🙏
@kungfuschoolchina Жыл бұрын
For most people, I would suggest repeating each movement three times, however you can do more or fewer repetitions depending on how much time you have. You can find full details about practicing this Qigong on my website: www.kungfuschoolchina.com/post/baduanjin

I love this version.Can I ask-Is each section performed 3 times(each side) like you show in the video,or are you just showing it from different sides and it's only meant to be performed once?
@kungfuschoolchina Жыл бұрын
In the video, I am showing it from different sides so people can see the movements from all angles. In practice, you can adjust how many times you do each movement according to how much time you have. Repeating each movement 3 times is what I would suggest for most people, but it varies person to person depending on their physical condition and their training situation 🙏 you can find out more details about this Qigong set on my website here: www.kungfuschoolchina.com/post/baduanjin

He claimed that this is Qigong. I am so sorry to say that this is not the Chi Gong way of practicing the Eight Pieces of Brocade. The way he practices is very closed to physical exercise. Most of his movements violate the principle of the original Eight Pieces of Brocade. So, I believe that he does not understand the theory of every movement. My Chi Gong master has written a book " Taoist Eight Pieces of Brocade" in which the theories of all the movements are explained. If you have read this book, you would agree with me,

Hi, there are many different approaches to Qigong practice and many versions of Baduanjin. If you would like to learn more about the basic theoretical basis behind this particular style of Baduanjin then I have a written breakdown on my website: www.kungfuschoolchina.com/post/baduanjin 🙏
@chigong110 ай бұрын
@kungfuschoolchina Yes, there are different versions of this Eight Pieces of Brocade, but most of them are 80% stretching exercises. Only 20% are Chi Gong. I have read your articles on your website. I am sorry to say that about 20% are Chi Gong and some movements violate the principles of Chi Kung. It is sad to see that most of the movement become stretching exercises. For example, you have not lowered your shoulders and elbow in the 2nd set. I hope that you could buy the book " Inner alchemical Eight Pieces of Brocade " . You would understand what the real Eight Pieces of Brocade is.

@@chigong1 I have seen your similar comment in all ba duan jin videos. Upon searching I searching for your book I see many titles with similar names. What is the exact title of the book and who is the author? Perhaps that could help someone like me who is still an absolute beginner to this practice

@sagarbrit first of all , can you read chinese ?

@@chigong1 I can’t read or understand either Mandarin or Cantonese 😒 I visited your KZbin Channel and it was all in Cantonese. In the UK I joined a specific Tai Chi and Qi Gong class but didn’t really get any benefit out of it as the Polish instructor wasn’t very clear like the videos of Chinese instructors who speak English. I personally find, @kunfuschoolchina’s quite interesting. However, I like knowing the science behind the practice.
