Some of the footage in here is really old and was never meant to go public. It was filmed to be shared with his students only. When we showed him this video and asked for approval to make it public, he agreed that we upload it, but wishes that we really emphasize something that he didn't mention much in the interviews: There must be balance between the two, and they must remain connected (seamlessly flow into each other).

Thank you for explaining this. The biggest mistake I see people making with yin-yang is trying to separate them. Especially in their martial arts. They try to go 100% yin and have no structure or try go 100% and end up slow and stiff. When I figured out that it is the movement between the two that matters my martial arts got much better.

谢谢老师。 There are only a handful of people that I would greatly like to meet when I go to China. Some related to martial arts or those who have helped teach me Chinese. This gentleman is one of them. Great video, thanks for uploading.

He is right. The principle of balance is central. Ego is a mistake. And the transition of the breath between extremes is the entry point. Enjoy..!

Does master Hu train/condition regularly? He seems quite fit and agile

Yes, he trains as often as he can!

Sir apart from traditional skills of shaolin kungfu and sanda do you teach Tai Chi and Qi Gong?
@ShaolinXinyiba4 жыл бұрын
No, we don't teach Taijiquan. Master Hu knows sets of Yi Jin Jing or Ba Duan Jin but he only teaches it when a student is really interested in it (most students prefer the more martial practices)
