Daniel......as the producer of this event, I want to share with you that I have been following yours and others progress over the years. You are a very talented and dedicated kung-fu practitioner as well as outstanding "tricking" performer. Both do go hand and hand. As far as your competitions are concerned and your results, allow me to say, in all sincerity, that you and your competitors are all Advanced Level or Black Belt (or Black Sash) level competitors....all top notch, in my opinion. Unfortunately, in our society, someone has to be fist, second, third, etc. ....even if the differences are just a minute of a point. In my book, you are still a winner, regardless of your 4th place. With all of your work and dedication, your excellent results are there !! Believe it, don't get caught up into this...."oh, the judges didn't like me, the judges were biased, the judges had their favorites.........you are one of the top......your are sharp and clean. You are a winner.........don't think like a loser !! My personal thank you for supporting our event and sharing your thoughts with your supporters.

Dude his low kicks better than mine I usually have a sword and slide step into it but hes definitely got speed. I'm trying to remember how to do a launching attack from ground .I'm thinking the stretch is from cross leg stance but sit on them then try to keep feet inner side out but lean forward then go from inner rotation and kick feet up I'm not sure do one foot first

I think results when it comes to medals are very often tampered with due to the bias of the judges, Sometimes the host school, or a specified party dont have the power to make personal choices and practically void the legitamacy of the scoring, but they often do for whatever purpose they see fit. Never trust tournaments as a scale of skill or integrity. People are always dishonest absolutely regardless of where you go.

Is it a traditional thing to have your salute be separate from your form? Feels awkward to do a combo + salute, then walk over to a new spot to start the form.

i was always of the impression that southern styles have the salute more intricately woven into the form. almost every person in the northern division had the salute separate

Interesting, I've never seen that before. I train wushu so I haven't been exposed to shaolin forms that much.
