This would be perfect for me if the fan had a small heatsink and direct contact with the SSD, rather than the board. I do not like the contrast between the small cube and the USBC male sticking out, I'd rather have a button that pushes it out or a female port. The fan noise is.. pretty loud.

The fan noise is whats had me back and forth its actually a deal breaker it doesnt need to be that loud at all but for some reason no other enclosure exists this size with a fan so im just gonna wait for something quiter to come out.

@@Deadlines-X Same for me, unless I get the budget and time to make something custom.

@@Kazini_ yh i made somthing custom, get a small 2230 metal enclosure and a quiet gaming phone fan put it ontop and cool temps.

Looks perfect for a GPD win 4 that has a USB C port near a fan exhaust

@iftibashir do you prefer this over the DOCKCASE Pocket?
@iftibashir10 ай бұрын
Depends what you want to use it for. Performance is around the same. However the Sharge Disk is smaller and more convenient (when used without the case), but the Pocket has all the useful information. Much of that info is a bit of a gimmick, I admit, but parts like the live temperature reading and the battery backup are very useful……

Hi! If you're filming with it on an iPhone, that cooling sound surely will get into the mivie, right?
@iftibashir7 ай бұрын
Yes definitely. You would need to use some other audio capture as this would be way too noisy for the iPhone.

Fan with no heatsink? 🤦🏻
@iftibashir9 ай бұрын
You do not always need heatsinks
@califpv9 ай бұрын
@@iftibashir don't need, but sure helps with right speeds because SSD's get pretty toasty and thermal throttle when they get too hot.
