Watching all of your videos and enjoying them so much! I live in Germany (American) and have never been able to cook "German style". Then I found you and I think my German husband will be surprised! Thanks for sharing your talents, personality, and humor. God Bless!

I've been binge watching all of your videos and love them all. I grew up on Hungarian food ...My family came over to America from Hungary in the 50s and settled in Buffalo NY where I still reside. Oma reminds me of my step mother who just passed away 2 years ago at the age of 93 and she would make all that good stuff she makes. Thank you for showing everyone what great food Hungarian food is.

My husband's Mom was from Eastern Europe and we miss her. You bring back great memories and wonderful dishes. This one in particular is terrific, because you take a cut of meat that may not be tender for grilling, but with a few inexpensive ingredients and some patience, make it into something even better. Thank you so much!! It's wonderful to watch your videos- just found you October 2018.

I almost cried when I saw this wonderful channel. Oma is priceless. She reminds me of my dear bubba. I grew up at my grandma's hip learning to cook because her food tastes so good. I noticed Oma's recipes are very similar to hers. Even though my grandma is no longer with us it warms my heart, soul, and tummy to remember all of the fond memories cooking with her. God bless you Oma. May you be blessed with many more years. Love the videos. Thank you for welcoming us all into your kitchen. Keep up the great work. I get hungry every time I watch the recipes. Thank you again.

Hi Oma, I'm a fairly new viewer, and I really enjoy watching you prepare recipes the way you used to make them over the years. I also love that you wear 'house dresses.' I remember when growing up in the '60's that many women still wore house dresses when they were doing household chores. You always look very "well put together," and simply adorable in your house dresses, and beautifully done hair. Your sirloin steak with gravy looks delicious, and the gravy would be great over mashed potatoes. Your son looks very proud of you! Please keep the wonderful recipes coming. You have many of us waiting for more!

Can definitely tell you have a sweet spirit sometimes I wish we can pick and choose our family I've always had a very neglective abusive absent mother and now that I'm an adult with 6 children of my own it's sad because their grandmother is the same with them as she's always been with me (my 10yr old met her twice and my 5yr old met her once when she was a year old so she doesn't remember her and she has never met any of the 3 babies) anyway I just wish I could pick and choose a involved, loving, tender, fun, supportive grandmother for my kids if I could do that I would definitely choose Oma😍 But I cant and I've grown to accept the things I can't change in life. (I am the mother to my kidoz that I never had and I will be the grandma that will snatch up my grandbabies gladly)😍 Anyway can see the babies on my page they're too cute😊

Maggi has more in common with soy sauce, except it is wheat based instead of soy based. It is ubiquitous in European cooking.

As Oma mentions in this episode, she does not recommend using soy sauce. It is very different than Maggi. Go without if you can't find it.

Mystic Handworks my grandmother always used a dark brown sauce called kitchen bouqet.....mostly for color she said
@gwenpytka67396 жыл бұрын
@@renernewton383 I agree. Maggi is more like Gravy master or Kitchen bouquet. I would not use soy sauce in place of it unless I omitted all salt from whatever the recipe calls for. Soy sauce it much saltier.

Hi Oma and Eddie! I do have a question concerning the "Maggi" that Oma uses in her recipes. Is it the Maggi Würze Liquid Seasoning OR is it something completely different?
