Cascading effect being already eradicated on implementation of Vat onwards And credit input was also in vat U missed one thing in Gst Government have all the benefits Coz in GST Govt collects all the Tax at once and is not bothered whether u sell it or not. Coz the tax already with Govt before the end sale. In vat there was purchase Credit input so that tax on purchase will be adjusted with the tax collectef on goods sold.

Prevention of Cascading effect is not only the goal of GST. Rather VAT also have the same as input credit.,before VAT ' Sales Tax "also have a method in which they used a simple system that is "Second Sales No Sales Tax." That if we purchased a goods from a wholesale r from the same State the second seller have no liability to collect tax.
