Crude oil is actually pretty hard to ignite, well below a certain temperatures. In early disasters involving a crude oil tanker ship ( the _SS Torrey Canyon_ , in 1958, I think ...), in order to try and 'burn off all the leaking crude oil, it was bombed with napalm ... with only partial success ... As another commentor said, when mixed with sea water long enough, it becomes this thick, hydrophobic jelly, that only detergents can 'dissolve' ... Besides, when it _does_ ignite, seconds to minutes after spillage, the result is incredibly hot flames, that burns in floating patches, creating dense smoke. _Deep Water Horizon_ may have been the worst in terms of the sheer volume of crude oil leaked, but _Piper Alpha_ is one of the worst in terms of fatalities ...

It’s very much bigger than the last movie, the small Meg in the first few parts was eaten by the Mommy Meg (the one that crashed the ship in the 1st movie) that mommy Meg was pregnant and gave birth to a pup, but sadly I don’t think she gave birth to her other pups, and now this next movie will show the pup that grew up (probably) and she’s actually huge her name is Angel And she gave birth to 2 other pups. I’m not sure if the very big one is Angel but it’s just my theory, but all I know is that the biggest Meg out of all 3 truly is 10x bigger. Definitely.

I find that homage as good. Also I always had a theory Bruce the Shark and all other sharks in the Jaws series were evolved Meg's or evolved Great Whites that became a kind of mini Meg especially as of JAWS 3D the 35 foot shark was supposed to be related to Bruce the Shark.
