that's not necessarily the case, plus youll owe interest at a decently high rate. by selling the company, you know the shark has an interest in making it grow because they actually own the company as well, so you get the money, no interest rate, and the expertise

Yes, in that respect it is risky for Glen to let Janine into the deal at all, on any percentage. The entrepreneur would have 50% and no more; insufficient to pass an ordinary resolution on her own; and thus would need a Shark’s agreement. Even if Janine only had a fraction of 1%, her agreement would become “necessary and sufficient” for the entrepreneur if they wish to overrule Glen on something.
