Shark duo vacuum cleaner brush roller fix.
**Important Note: In the video I mention trying to get a screw out where the orange round part is. You do NOT need to remove that screw! You can see some of the comments where people ask, so sorry for the confusion!
In this video, I explain how to fix the stuck roller in the vacuum. I apologize for the terrible intro on this video. :) If your roller is stuck and showing the red light. Don't throw it away. It's an easy fix, you just have to be patient. I hope this helps!

Nice, I have the green light no matter what mode it's in but it is making an awful screaching noise from that same side you initially cleaned out on the internal gear head/roller drive.

FOR SOME MODELS - THE BRUSH WILL NOT OPERATE IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION. Shark navigator 350-353 series - if you have cleaned the roller and it doesn't work, TILT THE HANDLE BACK then try.

Thank you for this video. I figured that was the issue as I’ve had the issue before but I just kept twisting it and eventually it worked. I didn’t know it could be removed so thank you! It is now working once again but this will be good for the future.

I have an ion flex cordless shark, the brush is not rotating for carpet but will pickup on the bare floor selection. How do you get the brush out to check and clean it completely.

I’m not familiar with that one. Sorry! If it’s anything like this one just follow the steps in the video. I don’t mean that rudely, but it’s pretty easy to remove on the model in the video

I watched the video for Shark Duo Clean. I'm not able to loosen the end on the brush roll to clean out the debris. I'm trying to loosen with the flathead.

It takes some time. Just keep trying just don’t break the plastic! Just slowly pry at each side and see how I knocked it with a flat head and tapped with a hammer.

At about 1:30 in the video you clean the hair out of the orange part. Is there a way to get the screw off that orange piece?

Elizabeth, I went back and looked and I remember trying to get that screw out and eventually gave up, but I realized later that I didn't need to remove that screw. I'm sorry if that doesn't help you and wish you luck on it!
