This was so fun! That first house was *amazing* and I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could. For the second place, the reason it had such a bad echo is because there was no furniture in it to absorb sound. Once you get things like fabrics and woods in there it will significantly deaden the sound, and then you could add rugs and things to absorb even more noise, so don't necessarily write that one off either!

That's good for cats. City cats should have some way of going out, it's popular here to have some stairs for them from the balcony or a door inside a standard windows if you live on the ground floor. I've seen someone turn their basement into a cat apartment and it has little door in the windows so it can go out at any moment. And its a 4 million city so plenty cars and people

@@sharlainjapan My uncle moved to Tokyo in the 1960s, and is now wanting to "retire"- sell his house in Katsushika and move with my aunt to Hawaii. I could ask if he's still looking for buyers, and details about his house if you'd like!? He's a very interesting man- a tall redhaired (but now completely Japanese) guy who fit in so well there that he didn't even bother to teach his son English! I've aways wanted to know more about the lives of older expats in Japan like my uncle; to hear about their experiences in Japan and if they feel more accepted after a few decades. Particularly if they've gotten Japanese citizenship- I hear that's a difficult process...anyway, DM if interested!

I loved this! It felt like I was watching HGTV but better because you two were so fun to watch. Can't wait to see where you choose to live. It's very cool seeing housing in different countries.

😂😂😂 Alex should have started with the second property. I really liked both though. Can't wait to see more potential homes for you, Chris, and the cats!

First place looks amazing, so much light and open space, furnished with western appliances and all of that in Tokyo, amazing!

@@thehungrygoldfish True true, no kids is a big one (kids are financial suicide and ruin your life) and I'm sure they can financially afford it but Christ, at 5 GRAND a month you might as well buy instead of rent. Not sure on their income a month but yeah, dual income they can cover it I'm sure, but at the same time Chris has always said he's kind of "poor" so I wonder what their finances are like and what the banks can offer for a mortgage.

I loved the first house, the views and outdoor space was really nice. It would be great to sit on the roof terrace on a nice evening after a busy day or to wrap up a recording with the sunsetting over the rooftops of Tokyo.

Love the second house, I think it’s a little safer for the cats. But the first house is super cool.
