Yoki Renae they’re probs referring to the texture and curl pattern. They probs felt that as a light skin person they were supposed to have loose type 3 curls (which we all know isn’t true because skin tone doesn’t dictate your curl pattern). But it’s what’s most portrayed in the media so they probs felt like that’s how it’s supposed to be.

Braids are generally harder/take longer to unravel on kinky hair especially if they are too thin so you may want to consider not making them too thin so you don't give yourself a headache when it comes time to take them down/unravel

Gorgeous! Mini twist prevent fairy knots so our hair type can be protected and grow. It does take a long time, but totally worth it💪

You did a great job! If you dont want them to shrink, after you twist them you can African thread them with weave thread, then apply your hair jewels.

Your twists are so cute. I keep my twist in for a month at a type and I just refresh my perimeter to make them look new every 3 weeks and wash and retwist all of them once a month. That has allowed to retain so much length.

Beautiful, juicy results! With your hair texture, I would expect twists that small to last 2-3 weeks easily. Just remember to spritz your hair and scalp with a leave-in followed by oil/butter at minimum weekly. Now I'm fiending for a set of kinky twists!

I love the look. Reminds me of Lauryn Hill, If you want to make the twist look tighter plait the hair at the root and then twist it. Only do this if you don't mind your scalp or parts to show.

First of all, proud of you 👍🤗🤗 really great job on the twists. Gorgeous 🎇🎉🎊 secondly, lose the middle part, do a side part especially with those embellishments it would look better. Thirdly, stick to the twists, avoid the single braids. You'll get more length but less fullness and unless you're using synthetic hair with your hair it may look like you're a little kid. As you get better with the twisting, and when you take them out after a few days....FIRE🔥🔥🔥🔥
