Hey Robin! Great video! Love what you have to say about the human interaction element when you were in that store. Just to offer a slightly different perspective of the manager's picture hanging on the wall: I once worked in a corporate retail environment where the company required me - as the manager - to put my picture on the wall so all the customers would know who to ask for if there were any issues. It had nothing to do with ego for me. Maybe the same situation applied? I don't know. This is not to excuse poor customer service, just to offer some insight. Anyway, I deeply appreciate all that you say and do to help people become better leaders. Cheers!
@manuelaribeiro16997 жыл бұрын
When you have pictures on the wall, people expect good customer service. When that picture says you are the employee of the month, then, do remember that you have to live up to that statemente when dealing with your customer. Many times this doesn't happen! So, lets be real Leaders with or without a title!

My view is problems in this world can be solved in below three ways: 1. Right chair for each person. Each person should sit to that chair or chairs if u have which should be right for him. 2. Develop ones leadership im his personality. 3. Read green curriculars and make green curriculars from above two point activities

The main purpose for paint is to protect the surface it is applied to, NOT to make the object look pretty. In the example in the video, Steve does not understand the reason for his action and is simply looking for an excuse to do as little as needed for HIS benefit - not his fathers', or his family, but HIS.

I'm reading the book and it seems to be for -15 year old teen/kids, which is good and the concept is fantastic but it's kinda what you expect like predictable. It doesn't go to the point with a kinda long story, or at least longer than needed, that you read it knowing what the writer wanna mean, but you continue reading it anyway. I'll keep reading it though. I also bought the 5 AM club and it is another long story at least at the beginning, I mean they are long for the function that are being used (explaining an idea/concept).

Robin good theory and good wishful thinking. In today's corporate world, you may be the best but it all boils down to money. You may be good at leading but they will not give you a title. Why? In order to save the operational costs. You may be lead with good principles but you will not be valued because everyone wants the bottom line. Leadership without title means more work and less money.
@manuelaribeiro16997 жыл бұрын
Dear Nil Raj, I understand you perfectly, with much respect I would like to share my thoughts with you and my personal experience: When you're the best in your craft, when you are the employee that everyone wants to see around, people talk. There is no boss that will be indifferent to your excellent work. In due time, people WILL have their eyes on you, so will other companies, and in no time you WILL be invited to either join another company or have a bonus from your boss at your work place. If you think like a victim....too much work, no money....you WILL feel frustrated, and yes, you die, meaning, that you watch life go by without living it!

great tips, but this video doesnt really address what leadership is at the core. only some symptoms and how tos, but really no essence of who leaders are and what really means to be a leader! thats the problem with most leaders. they are whats called naturals. they do it. but can't really explain why they do what they do. not enough introspection and learning. for example steve jobs actually has a video (its on youtube) on what leaders really have to do for people who work for them. HE ACTUALLY TELLS YOU in video. and its not inspiration.
