very well presented. I've always agreed that leaders lead and motivate. No one is a born leader but one has to have some sort of talent to work with and be willing to grow from there. I also love how you describe what leadership isn't. So many times within a place of employment it is thought that there is a need to go with the employer who has been there the longest or knows their job or unit well. Yet, that is not always the case because of the "leadership lid" you mentioned. I love that! Growth can not become stagnant.

So much content to learn... I'm grateful. But essentially what I've drawn from here is that Leadership is being own self and expressing that fact.

My teacher assigned this video as part of the lesson and I'm glad she did. This was very good. I feel like I'm ready to go to the next level and not just manage but lead and I'm not surrounded by good leaders. I don't know where to go. I can manage the heck out of a process though! But as you stated, this is a lifelong process.

This is a good video and very informative on taking off the leadership lid on your own potential. This is process of maturity character development and growth. I like the 3 C's. Calm, Courageous, Confident and Consistent must have a high leadership lid or no lid at all. Enjoyed this information. I am willing to grow being around greater leaders.

Hey Rod, thanks for the comments. I'm with you that Maxwell seems to repackage a lot of his stuff. I've always loved his style and message though. This first lesson is heavy on Maxwell material because I believe so much in the fundamentals and the foundation it lays. The idea that leadership and success are intertwined and that leadership is for everybody is critical for any leader to understand. And understanding that it is a lifelong process is key too.

Great overview. I have listened to your leadership podcasts (not dose of leadership) and see this content is coming from there. But for others this is good content. I also liked the graphics and the examples. On the cons, somehow I don't like the hand coming and writing the stuff. It looked really good in the begging, but after 5 mins of so, the hand is coming in the way while reading the content. I also observed my eyes were straining. I feel that the hand is good for drawing and emphasizing key points.

Yeah...need to change that. Frustrating that the program didn't have spell check...it's funny how you can stare at something, and watch something a hundred times and not catch it when you create it. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Richard. Well done video. Good voice. Good beginning and ending. I have subscribed to the Maxwell programs for years and frankly burned out on the books and tapes. As much as I love John it has become repackaged. 21 irrefutable laws. 7 steps to... 18 authentic leadership style. 19 of this 5 of that. How is this any different?
