Was in Ireland earlier this year on our annual tour. Loved every minute of it. What a beautiful country. We never saw any fixed speed cameras in the 1300 miles we covered either.

Cool videos, love the colouring/style. It looks like you missed The Vee Pass, near Lismore though, which is a pity. It's off to the right (R668) just before you come to the bridge by Lismore castle. Amazing views & road up there.

Impossible to get the whole way round and see it all, maybe next time. Thanks for the tip👍😜

Proper Brother in Arms singing! Keep it going! I do the same. Was a proper cadence caller back in the day. Otherwise I can't carry a tune in a bucket. In my own Helm, no one knows, and even if they did who cares!

Nice to see your keeping to a good distance 👍. Enjoyed the footage. Little rain keeps the bike clean. Glad you are still enjoying the Tiger.

Just did a tour of Ireland, never had a problem getting a coffee ... in any CircleK garage or Centra store you can get a fair representation of a flat white out of a machine, and a sandwich or pastry. OK, not partisan made by hand but decent enough 😁. We had a fantastic trip over a week, with only one wet day, starting from Rosslare, up the west coast to Donegal, a visit to the Giants Causeway and back down through the Wicklow mountains. The road from Glengariff to Kenmare and onward to Killarney was a beaut.👌

Plenty more decent rides to come! I also made my way upto Northern Ireland via the West Coast, amazing!

Not sure it's possible to pick a worse route 😂 Mallow and Bandon would be the equivalent of touring through Hull and Bradford

Just as well you're using Satnav. If you had to ask for directions God knows where you'd end up. Glen-a-griff?? how'd you mangle Glengarriff into Glen-a-griff? Anyhow, love the channel. Did a Scotland trip with my son in March, largely on the basis of your recent Scotland series. Only got as far north as Ullapool due to time constraints. Itching to go back. We got lucky weather-wise, but I wouldn't really advise going that early in the year.

Great to catch up with the tour Shaun, been saving them up whist I went on my own, completely opposite, odyssey - passing not far from your own turf. Not being in Rukka society (tour cost me less than one of their suits) only had to put my Richa Rain Warrior suit on in three times in a fortnight! Smashing to see you getting on with the Triumph, it's a great feeling finding a bike that really suits you. Looking forward to the next episode.

I'm sure I'll make a follow-up video on triumph, there seems to be quite a bit of interest👍😜

Such a long way from Enniscorthy to Glengarrif. Broke me thinking about it. Hope you took advantage of the hotel offerings!!

Definitely a long day! I could have made the route better, but it would have taken even longer😩

We dont really have fixed speed cameras speed vans yes, you missed an unbelievably spot there in Glengarrif, The priests leap Gap worth checking out for anyone else heading around that area.

You should have taken the r666 from lismore castle. Ironically it ends at priory coffee in fermoy, the place you noticed as you drove past!
@thelikeablerider88005 ай бұрын
Yeah not the best route, but didn't want to make that day any longer than it already was. Still! Managed to find some good fast flowing twisty roads. Up in the mountains on the next Episode👍😜

Re hotels Sean I have the same attitude, spoil myself every third night but I’m getting old and my body needs its comforts. I’ve had it with minging digs after a long day on the road and yes coffee is an issue in Ireland, best place are service stations.
@thelikeablerider88005 ай бұрын
Exactly that! Nothing better than a decent hotel after a long day on the road👍😜

Cannot get how you didn’t find a coffee in +300kms, just about every garage and spar shop has a coffee machine, even on a bank holiday including the garage you filled up at just outside Bantry there!
@thelikeablerider88005 ай бұрын
Call me posh, but I'm not really into the garage break. I'll leave it if I can't sit down for a chill out with a proper cup of coffee😜

Great looking hotel. Next episode should be good when you get into the Kerry mountains. Hotels are getting expensive in Ireland as 30% of hotel beds are taken by the New Irish paid for by the very generous Irish tax payer.

Coffee shops do become a little more prevalent in the more touristy areas but they're not what you'd call over run with them. Fuel station coffee will get you by but you just can't beat a proper coffee shop with a good selection cakes, after all we're not animals! lol

What tyres are you using?
@thelikeablerider88005 ай бұрын
They're the Metzeler Karro Streets, great tyre! So much so that I've another fresh set waiting to go on. Unfortunately, having to ride the motorway on my way home from this trip squared them off a fair bit. Managed around 7500km before they fell off.
