Just got my safety razor in today. It was 4 days late but I had to try it out. And OMG I don't think I am going to go back to a cartridge razor. I have never had this smoothest shave before. You got me thinking about it and I am glad that I got one. Ps, keep up the good work and stay safe.

I shaved tonight with my new R 41 Twist for the inaugural shave. Ordered it form English Shaving Co nearly 1 month ago. Good, close shave and no cuts. I grew up on a tobacco farm in Eastern NC so I'm eager to get a tub of the Taylor of Old Bond Street Tobacco and see if the scent is true to it's name. My razor collection now includes an older Edwin jagger closed comb faux horn handle (first DE I purchased years back), a Rex Supply Envoy (daily shaver), a 1960 Gillette slim butterfly and my new Muhle R-41 Twist. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!

I tried the Astra SP blades today and they worked amazingly for me. It gave me a BBS shave with no irritation. I still got 9 more blades to try from my sampler pack. Next up is the Gillette Silver Blue for me to shave with and find out if it also works for me

I've been liking the feather blades but ran out and using up the couple of packs of Personna I've got, quite good, perhaps you have some in your variety pack 🙂 good to hear you've had a satisfying experience with the Astra superior platinum (?) For whatever reason I've still got about 100 of those but haven't used them, I think the razor itself wasn't the best rather than t blade potentially and my technique lacking so I'll definitely give them another good try. I only do my neck, and even that takes 10 minutes for two passes. I use a shaving device for the work days now. Because when I hurry, I cut and damage my skin with a safety razor and then I get a lot of ingrown hairs.

Absolutely love my "outlaw" and same as yourself and doubtless many others. The smell of the new leather travel pouch that comes with it 👍 I love my islay whiskeys but not a smoker (saw the cigar & bourbon "on the porch" the other night as well) and im now keen to add this soap to my quickly growing collection. I have the dirty ginger (from the club) but this scent sounds great

I have been doing long slow strokes. Should I be doing smaller ones? I did my 4th ever shave with a safty razor and i'm trying my best to let the handle do the work (30 degree angle and gravity), but i'm still getting a lot of small cuts near my chin and lower neck area.

That's a mild razor with mild blades. Feather are the sharpest but irritate some types of skin. Astra sp blades are pretty good. Send away for a pack of assorted. I got 10 types of blade...70 in all and I'm gradually trying them in different razors and making notes on each, along with the soap used etc; why don't you try a variable razor like the Parker Variant? You can vary the aggressiveness from 1-5. Cheers, Dave.

A good brush exfoliates the skin and raises the bristles. Plus....Its just nice to use a good quality brush.

Thanks for the informative video. I have a Rockwell 6S and was thinking of adding the Outlaw because the Rockwell has significant razor overhang and the Outlaw doesn't have blade overhang. I watched an Executive Shave video and the guy said it doesn't. Can you do a visual comparison with the blades loaded? (You did 6-5-20...just looked it up...) The stock Marketing photos never show the blade in the razor except when showing the gap and angle, but in those photos they conveniently cut off the ends of the head. Does anyone know if the Karve, brass or stainless has blade overhang? I may get into this as a hobby as I inherited a vintage Gillette safety razor, and these things are expensive so I'm trying to get different types and styles and carefully adding to the collection. Thanks!

I can give you two tips right off the bat that helped me out 1. Grow out your beard for 3 or 4 days then rub your fingers over your beard and learn your growth pattern that’ll teach your best angle to shave and 2. Go slow, make sure your face has enough shaving cream and don’t keep going over the same spot over and over. Good Luck 👍
